Pet care is already part of my everyday routine since I’m a dog owner myself. I work fully remote, so I’m used to planning my day around potty breaks, walks, feeding times, and check-ins. Because I’m home during the day, I can be responsive with midday drop-ins and walks and communicate quickly if anything comes up. I keep a consistent schedule and plan routes close by so I can be reliable and on time.

I follow your instructions closely and stick to your pet’s normal routine as much as possible. Drop-in visits (up to 40 minutes) are perfect for a midday check-in while you’re at work or away. During each visit, I’ll follow your routine and make sure your pup is comfortable and cared for: a potty break, fresh water, feeding if requested, and some playtime/affection. I’ll also do a quick check that doors/gates are secure before I leave. Dog walks (up to 30 minutes) are a dedicated, leash-only walk for exercise and enrichment. I’ll walk at your dog’s pace, allow time for sniff breaks, and prioritize safe leash handling the entire time. After the walk, I’ll make sure your dog is settled with fresh water and I’ll send photo updates and a recap (including potty info). **If your dog needs feeding, medication, or extended playtime, those are best booked as a drop-in visit so I can follow your full care routine.

A typical day
My days are structured and consistent, which helps pets feel comfortable. Since I work from home, I can fit in scheduled visits/walks while still being dependable and punctual. For each booking, I confirm instructions ahead of time, arrive within the agreed time window, and focus fully on your pet during the visit—then send an update before moving on to the next part of my day. I tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. Depending on what your dog enjoys, that can include: - Sniff-focused walks (great mental enrichment) - Playtime in the yard (fetch/tug/light play if appropriate) - Basic reinforcement like “sit,” “wait,” and “leave it” (only if you’re comfortable with it) - Calm companionship and affection for shy or senior dogs - dog poop cleanup for yards I’m also happy to follow any preferences you have (no jumping, no greetings, no treats, etc.).

Pet care experience
Hello, fellow dog moms and dads! I’m a lifelong dog lover with plenty of hands-on experience and two dogs of my own. I work fully remote, and as a dog parent I know how reassuring it is to be able to check in during the day for quick potty breaks, fresh water, and a little attention when they need it. I’d love to extend that same dependable, thoughtful care to you, so you can feel confident your dog is safe and cared for, whether you’re stuck in an office all day or just have a busy schedule. What sets me apart is my focus on reliable communication and safety. I’m responsive, I follow your routine closely, and I’ll always send photo updates and a clear recap after each visit. I also have experience with brachycephalic breeds (like English Bulldogs and French Bulldogs) and understand the extra care they can require, especially around heat, breathing, and pacing on walks. In addition, I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs, including slower-paced walks, gentle routines, and extra patience and monitoring. I’m happy to tailor each visit to your dog’s needs and energy level. I’m also pet first aid and CPR certified though American Red Cross. I always have a pet first aid kit at my home as well as in my car for drop in visits and walks. 🐾Ask About Spa Add-Ons!🐾 All of my boarding guests can enjoy optional spa services such as baths (short-haired dogs), brushing, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, and paw balm treatments. Mention your interest when booking for details and pricing!
Reviews

Alicen has been amazing with our puppy. He is a very anxious and shy dog and she has been great with him and he immediately became comfortable around her. She is very communicative and always updating us. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Alicen was AMAZING with Dan!! Helped us out in a last minute Hail Mary on a Holiday weekend as well!! Could never recommend someone more! Danny played so well with her 2 pups and Alicen kept us very well updated with pictures!!
Alicen has been a life saver! With 4 dogs and a demanding job, she is making my life so much easier. Her communication is great and I love seeing the photos after her visit. The dogs warmed up to her quick. She’s been flexible with any changes to the routine. I would highly recommend her!
Alicen was wonderful! She and Willie became fast friends. He was completely at ease with her. She is kind, energetic and wants the best for your pet. Highly recommend
