Pets are the best family
I've had dogs and cats for 21 years and I've loved it all, even the hard parts. I was an elementary school teacher for 10 years, so I have lots of experience with meeting times/deadlines and dealing with problem-solving. I own a 101-year-old house so I am no stranger to quirky house issues as well. My wife and I have 3 wonderful dogs--2 rescues (pitbull/boxer/lab) and one giant breed (Newfoundland). She is also a highly rated sitter on Rover and we often coordinate on dog sits to get you the best possible care.

Because I was a school teacher for so many years, I am very focused on details. When I hire a dog sitter, I have laminated pages of directions and information to help them be successful and keep my dogs happy and healthy. I don't expect that level of direction from everyone but I do like to have specific directions so that I know that I am doing everything to your schedule/standards.

I had a great experience with Alice and highly recommend her! I have two cats who need a little extra care—an 18-year-old senior and a hairless cat with a long list of instructions. Alice took wonderful care of both of them and gave them lots of attention while staying overnight at my home. She sent me daily pictures and updates, kept up with their food and water, and I could tell when I got home that both cats were happy and well cared for. She also kept my home very clean and even started washing the sheets and towels before I returned, which was so thoughtful. I felt completely comfortable having Alice care for my cats and will definitely book her again!
Alice did a GREAT job with our little zoo of 4 cats and a bulldog. Together, they can be a handful. She did walks, playtime and lots of cuddles. She even sent text and picture updates everyday at our request. We will definitely book with Alice again!

Alice is a great pet sitter! She swooped in at the last minute and saved our trip on a holiday weekend when our usual pet sitter had an injury. Our meet and greet was great and we knew our pets would be in good hands. It’s clear that Alice also has experience with many different temperaments which was a relief because our dogs could not be more opposite!

My schedule is currently very flexible. I’m available most days and nights. We are staying in town for the holidays so we can help other families with pets. I keep my Rover calendar updated.
