I am an online university student based in Bracknell, so am generally either at home or in the close vicinity. I study at home so would be available the vast majority of the time to ensure your pet’s needs are met and that they have lots of company. Online uni is completely flexible and so am able to fit studying around your pet’s daily routine.

My home is a ground floor flat with a large balcony area. I have had the balcony secured so that cats can safely enjoy time outside without risk of getting lost or injured. There is a grassy courtyard in the apartment complex I live in (about 50 metres from my front door) which I visit every couple of hours, so dogs have plenty of opportunity to relieve themselves, and a park nearby for any extra leg stretches or ball fetches (in addition to daily walks). I fully encourage pets to bring their favourite toys, beds or comfort items, or they can raid my collection. My home is kept clean and free of potentially hazardous items, and your pet would be free to go anywhere within my space (on the bed, the sofa etc). I am usually able to stick to their normal feeding schedule, and can administer medication if required. When caring for your pet in your home, it is of utmost importance to me that I respect and uphold your wishes, requests and house rules. I endeavour to leave your place exactly as I found it. Bins can be put out on collection day, plants watered, floors hoovered and parcel deliveries received upon request, for no extra cost. I am honest and transparent, so should any issues or concerns arise with either your home or your pet, I will communicate these with you as a priority. I am, however, highly proactive and therefore will do all I can to solve problems and help in any way possible. I will send daily updates and photos (unless specifically requested not to). I cannot drive due to a long term health condition however there are plenty of green spaces and good walks around, plus a veterinary surgery within walking distance and in emergencies, Uber Pet is available.

Pet care experience
Having had animals of my own for most of my life, as well as being regularly trusted to care for the pets of my friends and family, I have gained extensive experience in looking after various breeds of dogs and cats. My first dog, Millie (labradoodle) came home at 9 weeks old and was a source of light and joy in my life for many years. My rescue cat, Kobi, had a horrible start to life in an abusive situation, and while he was very shut down and afraid at first, with patience, love and a safe environment, he learned to trust again and blossomed into the sweetest, cuddliest little guy. I have experience caring for (and training) puppies and kittens, looking after high energy dogs, anxious or fearful animals and senior animals to name but a few. I have a keen interest in animal psychology (psychology student here) and so have spent time researching animal behaviour and how to read and understand their body language. I am a huge believer in enrichment for all pets and love finding new ways to stimulate their minds and senses, as well as ensuring sufficient physical exercise. I truly adore animals, and would be honoured to be chosen to care for your pet!
