We have over 13 years of working with dogs and cats professionally. We board in our home and have a training facility at Preppy Paws in Bountiful where we offer AKC approved classes and puppy socialization. We have long term commitments to our pups. We provide a level of care we expect for our family pets and then some. We believe strongly in pet safety and are extremely cautious when caring for other's loved ones. We never take dogs for off leased hikes, walks, or to dogs parks and never leave a dog unsupervised even in their own back yard. No matter how well-behaved or trained a dog is, there is no guarantee that things won't go wrong and in our experience when things go wrong they go really wrong. A lost or injured pet is devastating and we take every precaution to prevent this from happening. We will board dogs that we feel will be a seemingly smooth transition into our pack. Otherwise, we will watch dogs in their own home as we feel this is less stressful for the dog and we can provide the exceptional care they are used to. We believe in a no foot print policy when staying at a house. We leave it as you left it or better, we do not shy away from a little house cleaning. Coming home from a vacation is tiring and often overwhelming, we want you to know everything is well cared. When we pet sit or walk dogs we provide you with a GPS map of our services so you are able to see when we showed up and what we did. You'll be able to see a detailed map of our walks and provide pictures and updates often as well. We want you to know, without a doubt, that we are doing exactly what we said we would. Now, you must be wondering who "we" are. Our business includes, my husband who is certified as an animal technician and works as a supervisor for an animal care facility. I have a background in medical microbiology and health care. I teach online classes which allows me the flexibility to give your pets the time they need. We also have a son, age 18, who is very good with dogs. He has a calming presence yet runs and plays as much as the dogs like. We are a great team, together we provide more safety for your pets and more opportunities to play and experience different personalities. We believe this is great for socialization as well.
