We were incredibly grateful to find Ali and his mum, Maryam. Our senior German Shepherd, Isla, took to them both immediately 🐾 which is no small thing for her. Ali house-sat and cared for Isla over the holidays, and we received daily updates showing a very happy, relaxed dog clearly enjoying her time with him. When we returned, Isla was content and settled, and our home was left in perfect condition. Ali even put the sheets into the laundry before he left, which was very thoughtful. Everything was clean and tidy. Ali was also wonderfully attentive. He remembered to give Isla her daily vitamins (which I had forgotten to mention, he noticed them alongside her food and treats), and he let me know how much food remained before our return so I could decide whether to order more before we flew home. Isla is a senior dog, overcoming vestibular disease, and a history of pancreatitis, who requires companionship and has a complicated rescue history that has left her cautious and slow to trust. She requires a special kind of care. She bonded with Ali very quickly. It wasn’t long before she felt safe enough to ask for belly rubs and even do her little “dance,” something she usually only does with me. That level of trust speaks volumes. It can be hard to find someone who truly understands senior dogs, especially an opinionated herding breed that likes to test new people and establish “new rules”. Ali handled her with calm, kindness, and confidence. We would absolutely recommend Ali for dog and house sitting, and we’ll be repeat customers without hesitation. We’re so relieved to have found someone our girl trusts and feels safe with. 🐾
Ali was wonderful with Kobe. Kobe has become reactive around other dogs so Ali had just Kobe. The back yard is large and securely fenced an Kobe had some great play time with Ali outdoors and indoors. Ali and his mom Maryam took Kobe on lots of great walks. They gave him a couple of showers and cleaned all his bedding before I picked him up. Ali was comfortable to give medications as needed. I loved the daily photos and videos, these set my heart at ease that Kobe was comfortable in his home away from home. I really felt like Ali loved Kobe and that Kobe had a spa holiday!
Ali and his mom provided a great day care for our puppy Eevee. She slept for hours when she got home and we loved the picture and video updates they sent! Would definitely book again :) Thank you!

This was my first time using a pet sitter and the Rover app, and I feel so fortunate to have found Ali! I was away for three weeks, and I had complete peace of mind knowing my dog and cat were in his care. Meeting his wonderful mom added a personal touch to the experience, and I loved receiving daily pictures and videos of the amazing time they spent together. While I’m a bit jealous that my pets seem to miss their new friend, I’m genuinely happy to see how well they were cared for. I’m now a repeat client and can’t wait for my next trip! I strongly recommend Ali!! 10 stars for him! :)

Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy being around animals and spending time with them. I structure my schedule to make sure pets receive consistent attention, exercise, bathroom breaks, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether it’s morning walks, outdoor time, relaxing indoors, or evening routines, I make sure pets feel comfortable, active, and well cared for. Because I spend a lot of time at home, I’m able to provide pets with plenty of supervision and interaction rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I also enjoy keeping pets engaged with walks, play, and affection while maintaining the routines and instructions provided by their owners. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, so I make it a priority to give them a safe, loving, and stress-free environment every day.

When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a safe, clean, calm, and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed and part of the family. I stick closely to each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, supervision, and exercise based on their personality and energy level. I also provide regular photo and message updates so owners can feel reassured while they’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect the pet’s routine and environment to help minimize stress and keep them comfortable in a familiar space. I make sure they are well cared for, exercised, fed properly, and given companionship while maintaining the cleanliness and security of the home. I’m attentive to details, patient with each pet’s individual needs, and committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for at all times.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, active, and engaged while they’re in my care. Depending on each pet’s personality and energy level, activities can include walks, playtime, fetch, tug-of-war, outdoor adventures, interactive toys, and lots of attention and affection. For more relaxed pets, I’m equally happy to spend quiet time cuddling, relaxing together, or giving them calm companionship so they feel comfortable and secure. I also enjoy providing mental stimulation through games, exploration, and positive interaction to help keep pets entertained and reduce stress while their owners are away. My goal is to make every pet feel like they’re on their own little vacation — getting plenty of fun, exercise, care, and love in a safe and comfortable environment.
