Highlights
Pet care experience
Experienced, Trustworthy, Reliable
I’m highly experienced in caring for a wide variety of dogs, including elderly bernese mountain dogs, anxious english bulldogs, territorial pomeranian puppies, cuddly golden retrievers, playful pitbull mixes, and more! I’m an expert at customizing my care around the personality of your canines. If a dog is anxious and shy, I’ll take them on a less busy route for our walk and watch their comfort level closely. If your pet is energetic and doesn’t get along well with others, I’ll avoid other animals when we’re out and give them lots of playtime! If your dog just needs cuddles on the couch and someone to administer their medicine, I’m more than happy to do that as well. I’ve taken care of multi-dog households many times, and it’s always a pleasure.

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I follow the rules of the home I'm visiting. Whether you prefer shoes on or shoes off, I'll respect your preference! I also stay in communication with pet owners. I'll keep you updated on your animal's well-being and be alert for signs of concerning behaviors or health problems. I always pay attention to each animal's specific communication style and respect their needs. I speak in a quiet and comforting tone of voice to keep pets calm and make them feel as safe as possible.
Ratings and reviews
Alfons is so wonderful with my dog Poppy! Poppy is a senior pittie mix with a lot of special needs, and Alfons is patient and brings the fun - and I trust them completely with my dog and house while I’m gone! They even helped pick some of my tomatoes and suggested ways to help them ripen. They are very responsive, responsible, and clean! And beyond that, they are a fun and positive person! So grateful for Alfons! Highly recommend!
Alfons is great! They’re very reliable and have a kind nature that my dog really responded to. Will definitely be booking Alfons again!
Alfons is wonderful with Poppy and in general! They are so kind and have a calm, positive energy that relaxes Poppy. I’m so grateful to have found them through Rover!
Alfons was excellent. Very responsive, responsible and on time. Even our cat who is afraid of everything had an excellent time during their sit! I would absolutely trust them with our home and furry creatures again.
Alfons took the most amazing care of Twyla. Super tidy and cleaned up after everything. Twyla loved Alfons.
We've booked Alfons for an overnight and a couple drop-in dog walks. Our little monster Major Tom was a fan from the start. I appreciate that Alfons always communicates with us and has been flexible with times when our schedules are unpredictable.
