Pet care is a daily staple for me: my job is very flexible and I am able to move my job around to tend to the needs of the pets I am caring for. Whether that’s me coming home on a regular basis or stopping by your home to a similar routine of your own. My goal is to achieve the same routine you would have while you’re home to give your loved ones the stable routine they’re used too!

In home: I have property where I can take the dogs out on long walks and can play with them with a great deal of space. They will always have access to water and will feed them according to their set schedules. I have space for crates if your pets do better crated while inside and if I’m away. They will be smothered with cuddles and treats if I’m able to. Clients Home: I will make sure to adhere to the routine you have already established at home, whether that’s long walks or playing in the backyard. Stick to the feeding schedule and ensure they are stress free while you’re away.

Please let me know ahead of time if your pet requires special handling due to behavior or medications so I can plan accordingly! I have dealt with many animals (cats and dogs) that required special handling due to certain behaviors like anxiety and have also given pets numerous of different medication types including SQ fluids!
A typical day
We can go on super long walks on my property and can even play fetch or just run if that’s what your dog prefers! They might get to see wildlife like deers or turkeys but will never not be under supervision.

I have been a veterinary technician/nurse for the past 13 years. My whole life is dedicated to animals and providing them compassionate care. I have worked in a general practice for the last 13 years working with companion animals (cats and dogs) but I have grown up with birds, ferrets, fish, turtles and hamsters. I also have a degree in agriculture and have cared for livestock. I truly love all animals and will always take care of each individual pet as if they were my own. I have a team of veterinary professionals that I can reach out to if there was every animal emergency or guidance needed. My goal is to make sure that while the pet parent is away, their loved ones are well cared for!

Alexys and Kevin were great with my dog. He came home happy and clearly cared for. Folks should know that the boarding dogs are kept in a separate building from the main house but are accompanied all day and watched by camera at night. That worked fine for my dog who can be ambivalent about being near people at all times. We’re planning to board with Alexys again.
Alexys has been dogsitting for me for the past 6 years and caring for my oldest dog as a vet tech for even longer. Over the years she has been able to care for my senior dog through her tummy issues and now her glaucoma. She cared for an aggressive (to humans) foster dog I had with professionalism, care, and no incident. I now have two highly active younger dogs as well as my senior dog and I know that when I get home they will all be happy and have been well cared for. She keeps me up to date and is quick to respond to my own check-ins. I travel a lot and my mind is always at ease when I know Alexys is caring for my babies. She always double checks on my departure and arrival times to make sure her first visit isn’t too late and that they get extra care if I’m delayed. I have recommended her to friends and colleagues and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a caring and knowledgeable pet sitter. She’s the best!
Alexys has taken care of my two dogs (including overnight) on numerous occasions over the years. While I've had other dog- and house-sitters, she is my go-to whenever available. She's someone who can be depended on to do a good job and the pups love her. I would encourage anyone who needs a caregiver for their pet(s) to get in touch with Alexys.
We are so pleased with the level of care that Alexys provides to our fur babies when we are out of town. She’s been taking care of our cats for several years. We have five kitties. They have a range of needs (some with medications) and personalities (some are very shy and hide). Alexys is adept at caring for them all and goes out of her way to take time to play and spent time with them on her visits!
