Pet care experience

Home away from home; with lots of love ❤️

I have forever had animals in my care since I was little. I was born and raised on a farm and have been hands on with all pets and farm animals. Most commonly cats/kittens, dogs/puppies, horses, sheep, cows, goats, birds and bunnies. My partner and I relocated to the UK early 2022 and have settled here indefinitely. We have a 4yo cocker spaniel named Oakley who we have had since he was 9 weeks Old. I am experienced in dog/puppy training and I have a “pet intuition” which allows me to read animals and their needs based on their behaviour and body language. Animals are my favourite things in life and I would love to have a career caring for animals full time. My partner will not be home during the day therefore I will be the sole caregiver and walker of your doggy.

Alexys helped me out last minute, she was really flexible and easygoing. Percy had a great NYE with her!

Great Rover experience. Alexys is very accomodating and was flexible on timescales as I had challenging travel . She "got" my dog and his needs and great communication and pics. Highly recommend.

Dogs had a great time with Alexys, who took them on lots of walks and sent us videos & pictures. Very caring! They can’t wait to go back 😁😁

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work from home 90% of the time so I am lucky enough to have the ability to spend time with my pup and your’s too so they have company and are mentally stimulated throughout the day! :) I am currently pregnant so am starting to slow down a bit. If your dog is a puller on lead please let me know as I may need to reassess my ability to take them if it’s for more than just 1 day.

Safety, trust & environment

My fiancé is a school teacher at Cranleigh school so we are currently living in a school house on Horseshoe lane. My partner will not be home during the day therefore I will be the sole caregiver and walker of your doggy. I take my own dog out once or twice a day for an hour or so and we head out multiple times for toilet breaks and some fresh air. Our cottage is cosy, warm and homely. We are surrounded by countryside and lots of lovely walks where dogs can run and play both on and off lead - dependent on your dogs requirements. Dogs are allowed on the couch if you are happy for this otherwise I can equally monitor to ensure they are not. Rest assured I provide a safe, happy, caring and loving environment to suit you and your doggos needs.

Pets

A typical day

Oakley and I love exploring the area and going to different country walks. We tend to avoid anywhere with roads and livestock just so Oakley can run around off lead and burn his energy. We often have some mental stimulating activities during the day including sniff work (sprinkling treats in hard to find spots) and impulse control. A bit of tug a war is never far from Oakley’s mind also.
