I have always had a passion and deep love for animals. Everything from snakes and spiders to your small and large fur babies! I would knock on my neighbors doors asking to walk their dog; seeing that I never had one, but always wanted one of course! My neighbors let me pet sit for them, even at 10 years old when they went away! I also worked for an exotic veterinary center for almost 3 years. I was employed there as a doggy daycare attendant and receptionist, amidst some training to be a vet-tech! I would take out large groups of dogs for “playtime”, I fed them according to their owners specific dietary instructions, administered medications, trimmed nails and gave baths! I would take care of the cats and exotic animals at the vet as well. I have experience with horses, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, scorpions, bearded dragons, crested geckos, parrots, parakeets, ferrets and even an iguana. I would make our time seem like a vacation of their own, with nothing but TLC and appreciation for your best friend!

Alexxis is incredible!! When you meet her, you know immediately she has a wonderful way with animals. She is so kind, communicative, asks thoughtful questions and follows instructions. I just moved here, and I was so anxious about finding help for my (medically) complex pup, but I am so grateful to have met Alexxis. When I unloaded all that my dog needs (she's epileptic, medicated 5 times a day, weary of other dogs and arthritic) Alexxis didn't bat an eye. I felt so reassured and listened to. I came home to a very content pup - and my dog's things were neatly organized around her doggy bed. I highly recommend, and I hope to be fortunate enough to use her services again. Thank you!!!

I try to work in pet care full- time. Therefore, I am very flexible and willing to cater to your pets specific routine, as well as your desired schedule. I am excited to be available for your fur babies.

Safety, trust & environment
I live a mile away from Broadneck dog park and are very close to state parks like Quiet Waters. We also have a beach, if your baby loves to swim as much as ours. I love going for walks, runs and extensive hikes on trails. I would love to take your pup on any adventure I can and truly make it the best experience when they are away from their people. I offer free baths especially after beach time, because I know the sand can be agitating towards their skin. I will also be sure to check your pet before and after, making sure they are free and clear of ticks or any potential injury that can come from hiking rough terrain or just being in nature. I will be very attentive and treat them as my own. I received my dog training certification in April 2026 so I am officially equipped with the knowledge and experience for our varying personalities!
Pets
A typical day
My backyard is not fenced in, but certainly plenty of grass for the pups. If your dog is not good off leash, no worries, because we start every day with a couple mile walk! Our dogs are happy to adjust to multiple walks as well. If you would like your dog to run, about a mile away from us, is the Broadneck dog park and that is a very large enclosed field. I know some pet parents would prefer I stay away from dog parks and I completely understand. It is an easy adjustment for me to make and I would be happy to go for extra walks throughout the day. I also really like to arrange play dates with my friends dogs as well. Either going to the beach, for walks/ hikes, dog park or hanging out at my place! I also understand not everyone has a dog- friendly baby and I am willing to adapt to this as well. We have a dog in home, but we have enough space that they can be seperated and no one is stressed. I have plenty of enrichment games and chews, so certainly something for every personality. I would also never take another dog in my home, without consent from each family. I certainly would not want any one to be uncomfortable and I prefer our record of no accidents or vet trips to stay that way!

- If there are any allergies, any aggression/ shyness concerns towards food, other dogs/animals/barriers/leashes and/or people. I do not have any preferences, but the more details the better for us all! Also, I would really appreciate a heads up if your baby might have some accidents inside :) I am very good at observing animal behavior and will adjust accordingly, but any insight you can provide will make their stay with me even easier of a transition.
