Pet care experience

Life-time animal lover.

I grew up with dogs and cats as a child, and started doing pet care for neighbors as soon as I could. Caring for pets continued through college, getting connected through friends to walk dogs in between classes. When I moved to the PNW, I discovered Rover and have been sitting and walking ever since. The recent gap in my services was from moving down to University Place and then focusing on my own dog, Winston, for the first two years after his adoption. I am only offering walks and drop-ins (no long term or overnight care). My pup Winston will stay at home whenever I am booked for services so that I can give your pet(s) 100% of my attention. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels and have experience with quite a few behavioral concerns as well. I am very comfortable working with pets that struggle with: - leash reactivity - anxiety around people or other animals - medical issues, including those that require medication administration or emergent care - pain and mobility issues due to aging - food sensitivities/diet restrictions I also love working on dog training whether that’s loose leash walking techniques or just having your pup learn or practice tricks as a part of a drop in visit. I know the feeling of leaving your pet with a Rover sitter for the first time, especially when they have a history of medical issues or anxiety, so I always send detailed updates with photos to keep you at ease. I’m so excited to be starting my services again and hope to meet you and your pets soon!

Alexis leaves the house spotless and sends the best pics of Yeti! She is super communicative and very thoughtful in taking care of our pup. Yeti loves his time with her!!! Such a sigh of relief when she's available to be with him while we are away!

Alexis is amazing! She goes above and beyond to help Yeti feel comfortable. She also takes the best pictures of him. She communicates readily about what adventures could be fun for him to join along and is always so calm and confident! Eddie loves Alexis.

Alexis was beyond incredible for our 10 day stay with Yeti. She sent us daily pics and updates and took him on great excursions. The house was clean when we got home and Yeti was very excited to see us. It was our first trip away from him for that long and it was so comforting to have him in such capable hands.

Alex is always wonderful with our dog Charley. He’s an anxious pup, but he always warms up to her quickly. We would strongly recommend her to anyone needing dog/house sitting.

Alex is an awesome dog sitter. She always takes care of our dog really well, and follows instructions. When she stays at our place, she always picks up and leave the house super clean. Thanks Alex!

Schedule

I am taking a break from work before beginning a fully remote role as a consultant in a few months, offering me a ton of flexibility to set my own schedule. Once I begin working again, advance notice will make it easier for me to schedule my meetings around Rover bookings.
