Will Care For Your Dog Like My Own

My dog is precious to me and I will treat your fur-baby(ies) like my own. My goal in providing pet care is to make it as convenient and stress-free as possible. I know what it is like to need a last-minute sitter and I never want price to stand in the way of your pup getting quality care. So please reach out, especially if there are special circumstances! I love going on outdoor adventures with my 7 year old black Lab, Ellie! We especially enjoy hiking, swimming at the lake, and playing fetch at the park. On cold and rainy days, we'll do indoor enrichment activities like hide-and-seek, puzzle toys, or catching bubbles!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Am I happy to provide visits/walks for your dog(s) alone, or to bring my dog along if your pup would enjoy some socialization and company. Ellie is very patient and tolerant of other dogs, especially those who are extra hyper or a little guarded at first. I have had many "runners" in my lifetime, so I am extra vigilant when it comes to entering/exiting your home as well as when on walks or at a park. Growing up, we always had at least three large dogs in my home (Great Danes, St. Bernards, Dobermans, etc.) so I am very familiar with pack dynamics and experienced when it comes to walking multiple dogs at once. Please let me know if there are any medical, behavioral, or other concerns and I am happy to do what I can to accommodate your pup's needs!

Alexis is amazing!! Our doggies loved her SO much! They are not the easiest dogs to babysit but she made it look easy. I would recommend her to anyone!!

Alexis came super last minute and got both of my Great Danes out for me! She was super communicative and patient with my older Dane who can be a bit stubborn. I will 100% use her again!!

Alexis went above & beyond my expectations of a dog sitter! We had her stop in throughout the day to help with our French Bulldog (who is a little high maintenance). And Alexis did a wonderful job taking care of her. My pup gets anxious when I leave and I could tell that she felt completely comfortable and happy with Alexis. She followed instructions perfectly and was accommodating with any extra things I asked. Would absolutely book with her again & will recommend her to anyone that asks. Thank you Alexis!

Lexi is very dog friendly. She has had large dogs in her family all of her life . She is dependable and trustworthy and has her own transportation.

Schedule

With my own pup at home, we go to the park in the morning to play fetch and then a walk in the evening. I work a hybrid job and my schedule is very flexible as needed.

over 101 lbs
Alexis can host up to 2 walks per day
Most important for me to know before watching your pet: 1) Is your pet a runner? If so, what preventative measures do you have in place (double-doors, tracking collar, etc.). What do I need to know to make sure your pup stays safe and contained? For example, I regularly watch a Husky who can open doors and windows (including in cars), so I make sure to always have the doors and windows locked when I am watching him. 2) Does your dog have any special release words or commands associated with regular activities (walks, meals, etc.)? 3) Does your dog have any "cues" or behavioral needs that I should be aware of?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
