I have an older pup who is a rescue, relinquished three times through no fault of her own, and as a result has separation anxiety. She is very sweet but somewhat aloof and slow to bond with humans, as she is hesitant to let her guard down and let people love on her. Alexis did a great job with her and reported that our girl was following her around and even slept in the same room with her. When we got home, our pup was quick to forgive us for leaving her for a couple of days - definitely a sign she felt safe and loved in Alexis’ care. We look forward to having Alexis take care of our girl in the future.
Alexis continues to impress. It did not take my dog long to go from anxiety to chillin’ with her on the couch. Alexis is timely, communicative, warm, safe, and considerate of my fur baby. My anxiety of being away for 10-11 hours a day has calmed down considerably. I would absolutely refer Alexis to any pet owner!

Schedule
I have a large front and back yard for dogs! I will only take one family at a time! I have adequate separation in my home as needed. HOUSESITTING- I do not offer continuous care. I do have work and cannot stay 24/7, but can check in and spend the night! If you need continuous care please book boarding instead! My housesits typically will consist of overnight care 7pm-9am, and a drop in visit around lunchtime. This is also a great option if youre needing multiple drop ins each day! BOARDING: Please bring any supplies needed such as food, meds, etc. I have toys, beds, balls, ropes, everything of that sort but I do need food and anything special they may use at home. If food is not provided, there will be an extra fee for having to buy your pet's specific food. I do not use crates in my home unless requested, but can accommodate if you do! I also only board 1 unspayed/unneutered pet at a time for safety reasons and so we dont have any accidents, so if your pet is not fixed please inquire and Ill let you know if itll work! As long as another nonfixed pet isnt already booked we are all good. Thank you for your understanding and support!

I have a front and back yard, and I have multiple rooms if pets need space from other animals! No children are present in my home. I do have my own pets however they are sweet and love other animals! Just let me know your pet's needs and what you think will be best and we can go from there.

A typical day
Let me know what a typical day looks like for you and we will follow the same routine as close as possible, including playtime, walks, feeding time, and sleeping arrangements! I do my best to take notes and keep track of what your pet's normal schedule looks like, so I can follow closely and help them feel as comfortable as possible. We do walks everyday when I get off work, and I have a large park close by I love taking dogs to! If youre comfortable with it we can also always do dog park trips, but I will only do that with your permission. Of course, if I plan on taking your dog somewhere I will always check in before I do to make sure I have permission to go wherever we are! With summer coming up this may include outdoor events, but of course if your dog doesnt do well with crowds we wont go. I will check in before any of this to verify it is okay! It can vary from outdoor festivals, reservoir trips, car rides, I even do trips to Colorado Springs on weekends if its okay to go places like Garden of the Gods or Manitou!

I would also like any vet information about your pets, just to ensure that I have vet information in case of any emergencies and we have gone over proper procedure of your preferences. As always, all I ask is that you bring food and anything other unique items needed. I provide beds, toys, and fun!
