Long time animal lover & care taker
I grew up on a farm caring for animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, bunnies, pigs, cows, horses, and more. Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life, not just a hobby. That experience taught me how to read animal behavior, respect different temperaments, and provide consistent, responsible care. I have extensive hands on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels, from playful puppies to calm seniors. Over the years, I have helped with walking, feeding, administering medications, teeth brushing, light grooming, and basic training using positive reinforcement. Friends and family regularly trust me as their go to sitter because I prioritize safety, structure, and attentive care. I live in a quiet apartment with my partner and our dog, Koda, a mini dachshund born in 2021. There are no kids in the home. Koda is friendly, social, and ready to have a fur friend around. He is allowed on furniture and sleeps in bed with my partner and me, and visiting dogs are welcome to do the same if that matches their routine at home. Koda is taken out for potty breaks and walks more than three times a day and is fed three times a day, and I follow the same level of care and consistency for visiting pups. I am happy to stick to your dog’s existing feeding, walking, and sleep schedule rather than expecting them to adjust to mine. I work from home Wednesday through Friday and am fully available those days, as well as most weekends. I am in office Mondays and Tuesdays and unavailable those days, which is reflected in my schedule. When I step out briefly, dogs are safely crated, and I return within a reasonable amount of time to let both your pup and my own out. During boarding stays, dogs enjoy structured walks, regular potty breaks, playtime, and enrichment based on their energy level and preferences. My goal is to provide a calm, clean, and predictable environment where dogs feel comfortable and cared for. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Dogs spend most of their time indoors with me in a clean, well maintained apartment, with plenty of outdoor time for walks and fresh air. I do require dogs to be crate trained, as crates are used for safety during rest periods or brief outings. I believe owners know their dogs best, so I always welcome detailed notes about routines, preferences, and anything that helps your dog feel at home. I am happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident while you are away. Requirements for boarding with me: • Dogs must be crate trained • Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, proof required • Dogs must be on flea and heartworm prevention • Dogs new to boarding in a home with another dog may require a meet and greet

Alexis was a great option to leave Remi with for a weekend while we were at an out of town wedding. She kept us updated throughout the weekend with pictures, which I loved, and was great at communicating when and where we could meet to drop and pick up Remi. The dog park/run right outside of her house is a huge plus for a dog that loves to run and play!
Highly recommend! They took amazing care of my dog while I was away. They were very communicative and sent regular updates, photos, and messages so I always knew my pup was happy and safe.
Alexis was phenomenal. Great sitter, great communication, and the dogs really enjoyed their home away from home. I love that she has a dog park right outside her apartment.

Alexis watched our 8 year old male lab when we went on vacation. She was great! Our Tucker loved her! She was very responsive, took him on walks, kept him active, and a very reliable sitter. It was so nice to relax and know our dog was being well taken care of. We will definitely use her again on our next trip!

Schedule
I work from home Wednesdays through Fridays and am fully available those days to provide attentive, consistent care. I am typically home on weekends as well and available for boarding during that time. I work in office on Mondays and Tuesdays and am unavailable those days, which is reflected in my Rover calendar. When I do step out briefly on evenings or weekends, dogs are safely crated and I always return within a reasonable amount of time to let both your pup and my own out. If my availability changes, my Rover schedule will always be kept up to date so you know exactly when I am available.

I live in a clean, quiet apartment with my partner and our miniature dachshund, Koda, born in 2021. There are no kids in the home. Dogs are treated as part of the family and are allowed on furniture and in the bed if that matches their routine at home. Safety is always my top priority. I provide a calm, structured environment and closely supervise all interactions. Dogs are never left unattended with unfamiliar pets, and I take time to ensure proper introductions and comfort levels. I follow each dog’s individual routine for feeding, walks, potty breaks, and rest. Dogs are taken out multiple times a day and receive regular exercise and mental enrichment. When I step out briefly, dogs are safely crated for their comfort and security. I am very communicative and happy to provide updates and photos so you feel confident and informed while your pet is in my care.

A typical day
Our day starts with a morning potty break and walk around the pool to get fresh air and stretch our legs. Once we are back inside, the pups get a treat followed by some stimulating playtime before breakfast. While I work during the day, I keep a close eye on the dogs and make sure they are comfortable, engaged, and settled. At lunchtime, we head back outside for another potty break and walk, then come in for lunch, playtime, and rest. Around 4 pm, my partner comes home from work and we head outside again for another potty break and walk. After that, it is time for more playtime, followed by relaxed couch time and cuddles. Dinner is served in the evening, followed by one last potty break and walk before bedtime. Throughout the day, I focus on consistency, supervision, and making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for.
