We have a fenced in yard, and I am able to crate if needed. I only accept one client at a time and I always do a meet and greet before a stay. We do have a pet cat but she stays in another area of the house when I have a client.

I will always do a meet and greet no matter what to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and to make sure that the dog is okay around children. During the meet and greet we will go over all care info, feeding schedules, walking/bathroom schedules, making sure vaccinations/flea and tick treatments are up to date; and any special care instructions I may need to know about.
A typical day
We are constantly going on walks or hikes, and our fenced in yard is great to run around freely in. I also always recommend pet parents to be sure to send familiar or favorite toys along!

Pet care experience
My name is Alexis and I’m 32 years old. I grew up in Lancaster Pennsylvania, and now reside in Mount Joy Pennsylvania. Growing up we always had dogs and many other animals in our household. I have 20+ years experience on animals of all kinds, I can assure you that your pet is in good hands with me. I'm a stay at home mom; former manager at PetSmart and reptile caretaker at That Fish Place. I’ve also had some dog training experience. I’m looking forward to going back to school to become a veterinary technician. My grandfather always taught me about different animals and that’s how I developed such a strong love and passion for them. Animals mean so much in our lives and they teach us unconditional love.

Alexis was very easy to work with and communicated well with us. She took great care of our dog while we were away and updated us with texts and photos. We would definitely recommend her! Her kids were an added bonus for our dog to cuddle and play with!
Alexis provided excellent care for our dog, Finn. She responded quickly to any messages and kept us informed throughout his stay.
