Animals have been a lifelong part of my life. I grew up around farm animals and have owned and cared for dogs ranging in size from a Toy Poodle to a Great Dane. I also raised a puppy through the Leader Dogs for the Blind puppy-raising program in Michigan and have experience training dogs in both obedience and agility. I previously worked as a veterinary assistant at two veterinary clinics, which gave me valuable hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats with a wide variety of personalities, ages and needs. I especially love learning about canine behavior and training and am always reading and continuing to learn. I’m currently working with my daughter as she learns about showing dogs with the goal of becoming an AKC Junior Handler. Most importantly, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I’m attentive to each animal’s individual personality and routine, and I prioritize safety, communication and making pets feel comfortable while their people are away. I’m happy to provide photos and updates during every visit.
