Pet care is a natural and consistent part of my daily and weekly routine, built around reliability and attentiveness. Each day begins and ends with feeding, refreshing water, and checking on overall health and behavior to ensure everything seems normal. I schedule regular walks, playtime, and enrichment activities throughout the day to keep pets physically active and mentally stimulated.

Safety, trust & environment
Caring for pets in my home and in my client’s home starts with creating a safe, and comforting environment. I make sure pets have fresh water at all times, are fed according to their specific dietary needs, and get regular exercise appropriate to their age and breed. I follow any special instructions provided by the owner. Most importantly, I provide plenty of attention, affection, and positive reinforcement to ensure pets feel happy, calm, and well cared for while their owners are away.

Information Alexis P. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible to provide the best experience. I would ask about the pet’s personality, daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite toys or activities, and any behaviors that help them feel comfortable. I also think it’s important to know if they have any medical conditions, allergies, medications, dietary restrictions, or mobility limitations.
A typical day
For active dogs, I would provide engaging walks, games like fetch or tug-of-war, and supervised playtime to help them burn energy and stay happy. For more relaxed or senior pets, I would focus on gentle walks, quiet companionship, and giving them the affection and attention they need to feel secure.

Pet care experience
I have experience caring for both young pets and seniors. With puppies, I reinforce basic training such as leash manners, crate comfort, and positive behavior using patience and consistency. For senior pets, I provide gentle handling, slower-paced walks, mobility support, and close monitoring for any changes in appetite, mood, or energy.
Cat care experience

Alexis also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
Lexi is one of the most compassionate, gentle, caring, and empathetic people I've ever met. She has such patience and kindness towards animals and people alike, so much so that my kitten who was typically very shy and reserved came out of her shell when she met Lexi. I truly cannot recommend Lexi enough, and she will be the highlight of your animals day if she cares for your animal!
