Before caring for any pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine, personality, and individual needs so I can make them feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. Important information for me includes feeding schedules, potty routines, exercise needs, medications, allergies, behavioral quirks, triggers, and how they interact with people or other animals. I also like to know if a pet has any anxiety, fears, medical conditions, mobility limitations, or special accommodations so I can provide the best care possible. Since I have experience with large breeds, puppies, senior dogs, dogs with disabilities, and medication administration, I’m comfortable adapting care to fit each pet’s specific needs. I always want owners to feel confident that their pets are being cared for in a safe, loving, and attentive environment, so communication and understanding each pet’s routine ahead of time is very important to me.

I love making sure pets stay both physically active and mentally engaged while they’re in my care. Depending on each pet’s personality, age, and energy level, activities can include neighborhood walks, playtime, fetch, tug-of-war, outdoor time, enrichment games, basic reinforcement of commands, or simply giving them companionship and attention. For high-energy dogs, I enjoy longer walks and interactive play to help them burn energy in a healthy way. For puppies and younger dogs, I focus on positive interaction, consistency, and safe play. For senior dogs or dogs with disabilities, I adjust activities to whatever keeps them comfortable, relaxed, and happy. I also make sure pets get plenty of affection and attention during visits, since many animals mainly want companionship and comfort while their owners are away. My goal is always to keep pets happy, safe, stimulated, and stress-free while sticking closely to their normal routine.
