Pet care experience
Greetings, friends! I'm Lexi, your local *all species* pet professional (: Throughout my life, I have had the incredible opportunity of working with animals in professional settings across multiple fields. I take great pride in being a part of something I am immensely passionate about! Background: I have spent my entire life in a multi-pet household, ranging from cats and dogs, to goats and horses. My experience with dogs includes caring for various extra small up to XL breeds, such as Schnauzers, Chihuahuas, Boxers, Aussies, German Shepherds, Mastiffs, and Great Danes. I have a deep adoration for all animals of all breeds and species. I would absolutely be honored to care for yours! Growing up on a farm with horses, livestock, and chickens, as well as in a family which included our AKC Boxers and who trained Belgian Malinois + German Shepherds, I developed a strong passion for animal care in childhood. I pursued my interests through agricultural programs and vet tech courses, gaining valuable knowledge of pet behavior and health. Additionally, I have professional experience working in a grooming and boarding facility. With over a decade of pet & home sitting experience, as well as property management, I genuinely love what I do. I am delighted to be able to give you full peace of mind whenever leaving your fur babies and homes in my care. I primarily offer house-sitting services, but I'm open to discussing various care opportunities. My commitment to caring for and oftentimes rehabilitating & rescuing vulnerable animals drives my dedication to providing the best care for your pets! Medical Experience: I have experience with pets who have anxiety, diabetes, cancer, special developmental needs, epilepsy, hip dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, and those who are brachycephalic. I administer any medication necessary and am confident in my medical care abilities as well. Feel free to reach out about any special circumstances at all. Meet n' greets: Please message me and/or request me for a drop in. (For one pet is fine, as this is for the initial meeting.) Disclaimer - Meet n' greets typically last for 45 minutes to an 1 hour and 30 minutes on average. They also often require 30+ minute round-trip commutes. I am not able to offer meet 'n greets without a “drop in” being booked at this time. Please keep that in mind for both myself and other non-hobbiest/professional home & pet caretakers. *Please be mindful of gas, tolls, and that the app charges sitters a 25% minimum fee for each booking* I am available for full or part-time house sitting, drop-ins, boarding, etc. Feel free to give me a rundown of your pet's typical schedule when shooting a request message (or at the meet n' greet), and I will be sure to follow that verbatim when I get the honor of sitting them! *I will not board your pet with any others if they have any anxiety or have shown aggression towards other animals in the past. It is best to provide details about your pet's quirks when you reach out so that we can formulate the best plan of action for the sit. For house sitting: I treat people's homes with the same respect and care that they do and leave everything just as I found it. I am open to any extra duties like professional organizing, property management duties, plant watering, mail gathering, trash day, or whatever else you may have in mind. I care for your pets just as you would and can administer any medication whatsoever (chemotherapy tablets, eye drops, insulin, heart guard, flea and tick prevention, vitamins, and so on). I can watch over a recently spayed or neutered pet as well. Your pet will always be on leash, in the yard with gates closed & under my watchful eye, or inside of the home with me, with doors & windows shut & locked. I would never risk a pet escaping and have great confidence in my ability to keep them safe, happy, and healthy. Also, no situation is too unique! I am absolutely used to sitting homes with multiple aggressive pets that must be separated 100% of the sit duration and things of that nature, so feel free to inquire about any and all special circumstances! I will never turn down a potential pet client for behavior or household quirks. Thank you for reading! Know that I thoroughly enjoy my time with your pets and I cannot wait to meet you & your sweet angels! I hope that you have a lovely day and choose to use my services! (: *For house sits that require my presence (24/7) FULL TIME throughout the day, I will need to turn off my bookings, so that I do not take on other client drop-ins, walks, meet n greets etc. Please do be explicit about time requirements in your initial inquiry, as this type of sit will require an additional fee for closing off my calendar. Thank you. *If your pet must be boarded alone (due to aggression or anxiety), there will be a fee in place for keeping bookings closed to other pets. Feel free to inquire about private bookings. *For week of cancellations: I am only able to refund 50% of the payment amount. *For a cancellation within 48 hours of the sit: I am not able to offer refunds at this time. If you are in need of a long-term sit of over a week, please message me for potential discounts! *I offer cross-country pet transportation services as well. Please message me with the pick-up and drop-off cities for your pet. I'll then estimate mileage and send you a quote! I am open to driving across state lines as well. Contact me and we'll work together to figure out a perfect plan! Thank you for your time and consideration 🤗

Alexis is the best!! Our Luna always loves her stay!

Alexis was amazing! She watched our reactive potty for an extended stay and was great! Very communicative and responsive as well!

Alexis was great with our little babies today 🩷 she is very calm, cool, and collected and immediately passed our German shepherds vibe check.

Better have cameras. Within 2 hours of being at my home for the 5 day house sit she was asleep in my bed. After 2 hours of nap time and the dogs barking and starting to chew on furniture I had to have the neighbor go and check on her and wake her up to get the dogs outside. She slept most of the time she was there rarely interacting with the dogs. She said all she had to do during the house. It was go to a Thanksgiving dinner, which was not true as she was gone for roughly 5 to 6 hours. Then she explained that she had another gig she was taking and she was gonna be gone the next day which was roughly 10 to one and she was gone for five to six hours again. The expectation that our dogs needed a lot of attention was presented even before she took the job as well in the meet and greet. During the visit, she says that she had no idea that during the house sit that she had to be available which is totally outrageous. If you don’t like animals, you shouldn’t do this job. I have all the messages and the text messages back-and-forth and screenshots of her, not doing anything or interacting with the animals as they try to wake her up from her nap to go outside. The final straw was when she slept all day long claiming she was tired from being on her period and that she was having cramps. She also explained that she had just gotten over the flu and that she was recovering from that which none of this is my problem, nor was told to me because I would not have had her in my home. In her profile, she explains that she will take care of the animals as if they were her own and she will respect your property and leave it better than she found it and that is not true either as she wore shoes all around the house and in my bedroom and she said that was because her feet get cold. I have the text messages from that as well. She left all my lights on and she ended to stay two days early leaving me no choice but to call and try to find somebody to get into my house while I was in Colorado on vacation with my family. This person has no respect for anyone’s property and does not care for animals I promise you. She said in order for her to show the care that I thought I was supposed to receive it would’ve been a lot more which is crazy because I paid over $1500 for five days….. do not hire this person for house sits. She is lazy and disrespectful and does not want to do anything with the animals and will act like you’re out of your mind if you want her to actually interact with them. Only thing she’s probably OK at is doing a drop in. Awful experience.
