Pet care experience
Owner away? I walk, sit, and stay!
Even though I have just started working with Rover; my animal care experience starts as a young child...I have grown up with dogs and cats; i even had horses for about 5 years of my childhood! I have been the go-to pet sitter among my friends for about 15 years now, and many coworkers (some who were total aquintances prior) for the last 10 years! Nowadays I am fortunate enough to work remotely, so I am always around to give all the cute furbabies in my care endless love and affection! Thanks for considering me, I am looking forward to meeting you & your best friend(s)!

Tam had a great time, always came home tired and happy!

Alexis was flexible with my schedule and Tam had a blast hanging out with her and her pup. She always came home happy and tired, something my older dogs were very grateful for!

Alexis accommodated our two dogs on short notice, and updated with pics and texts. They loved the exercise in the fenced back yard! Thanks so much!!

Alexis was great with my Lucy. She was quick to respond to messages and also sent me lots of pictures and updates. My dog is very spoiled so finding someone to spoil her like I do was nerve wracking but I would definitely use Alexis again

Great boarder! Thank you for accommodating on short notice. My dog had a great time with Alexis and her family.

'Alexis has helped me in a pinch a few times with my best friend Tank. On short notice she has watched Over my 3 year old pup while I was away on business ventures. Even with separation anxiety, and a strict diet my hyperactive guy always comes home in top shape and seems to miss his friends he makes while staying with Alexis and her awesome inviting home. I enjoy the home environment especially And it might just be what helps Tank do so well there not being in a “kennel like shelter environment.” highly recommend for anybody looking for a hospital care for their fur babies. she also verifies vet records and health of animals to promote a healthy environment for all who visit. 5 stars *****

Schedule
I'm a SAHM/work from home mom so I have flexibility in my schedule to accommodate your pets needs. Maybe its an early brekky (6 am vs my normal 9 am), extra outside time....you name it, and I'm sure we can work something out :) My ultimate goal is to have all the pets that come into my care feel as little negative impact possible from being placed in a whole new (albeit temporarily, but they dont know that LOL!) environment.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard that has ample space for any dog, be it big or small, to be able to get their 'zoomies' out and wear themselves out for awhile!! I also have a partially finished basement and fully heated/climate controlled attached garage where I can separate animals if absolutely necessary to that degree. I have found that the animals that have stayed with us seem to fit in effortlessly very quickly, its all about finding that groove :)

A typical day
My area of expertise......routines :) I wake up by 6 (not by choice anymore....tried to change/break it for years to no avail LOL) and the very first thing i do after finally actually getting out of bed is let out the pack, and while they're out there, I stand at my kitchen window, silently watching them and getting their morning meals around while coffee brews....the hope is I can set it down as they prance in and maybe be able to get a few more minutes of bliss....well most dogs take a snooze after breakfast, so I'll do some things around the house and get the kids ready and sent off to school, at which point most dogs are right at their waking time again. Simply perfect timing.... i can head outside with them alone and actually have time to mess around and have fun and maybe teach one something lol. Over the last decade I've noticed this natural, seemingly hardwired 'routine/pattern' in almost every dog ive watched. One of those things where once you've seen it you can't unsee it ya know? LOL i have adjusted my schedule and routine accordingly, and everything has been so much calmer and stress-free since! Having a large fenced-in yard allows me to let the bigger dogs have the freedom to run and stretch their legs anytime which I absolutely love!
