I’ve been immersed in animal care my entire life! As a teen, I spent my time volunteering at shelters—not just walking dogs, but studying them. I learned to read body language, tune into energy, and meet each animal exactly where they’re at. These days, I specialize in working with animals who are sensitive, reactive, or even just used to a high standard of loving care. My approach is rooted in gentle structure & calm clarity; never force or fear. I provide a relaxed environment where animals can soften, settle, and play like it’s their second home. My dog Bella is the best co-worker and companion!! She’s a trustworthy & balanced host for all dogs. While it takes her time to warm up to humans, she loves all animals and has been great with every dog and cat she’s met :) I know how hard it is to trust someone with your pets, so my goal is simple: to make your life easier and your pet’s day brighter. With me (and Bella), I can assure you they’ll be cared for as a part of our family 💗

Truffle had an awesome stay with Alexis! She sent daily updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear he was safe, comfortable, and having a great time. Truffle can be very anxious around new people, but he warmed up to Alexis so quickly — that alone speaks volumes. We’re so grateful for the care and attention she gave him. Highly recommend Alexis!
Alexis eased our mind during our dog, Chili’s, first Rover experience with her. She sent several photo updates, quick to respond and very knowledgeable. We are glad we found her!

Schedule
Availability for boarding is super limited so please reach out as far as possible in advance! I only watch dogs from a maximum of two households at a time and slowly acclimate first time boarders. I put all toys away until I am confident of their temperaments, always ensure 1 on 1 time, & separate during feeding.

Safety, trust & environment
I sleep upstairs with my cats; they stay behind a secure gate, so it’s no problem if your dog isn’t used to cats. Dogs can sleep in the living room, spare room, or in one of the crates or playpens available. Lmk if they have any special needs or preferences ahead of time. Dogs / puppies that are good with cats are welcome to the whole house.
Pets
A typical day
My yard is private, fully fenced, and backs up to a hill, so the dogs get plenty of exercise running, sniffing, and exploring throughout the day. Activity is usually play based, either with the other dogs or 1 on 1 enrichment activities.
