Availability
Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine, thanks to my flexible hybrid work schedule. On remote workdays, I am more available throughout the day for walks, check-ins, and playtime, allowing me to provide extra care as needed. On in-office days, I can accommodate early morning visits, evening walks, or overnight stays. Additionally, my work schedule is flexible, and I can plan remote workdays in advance to accommodate your pet’s needs, ensuring they get the attention and care they deserve. I already incorporate caring for my own two dogs into my daily routine, so I’m experienced in balancing work and pet care. On weekends, my schedule is much more open, giving me the flexibility to dedicate plenty of time to your pet for walks, outings, or companionship. I’m happy to work with you to make sure your pet is happy and cared for, no matter the day of the week!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home. In My Home: I live in a pet-friendly apartment with my two small, friendly dogs, who love meeting new furry friends. While there isn’t tons of indoor space for play, we have access to great outdoor areas, including a fenced-in courtyard, a park across the street, the nearby 606 path, and many other walking spots. Your pet will enjoy plenty of outdoor time and fresh air in a safe and welcoming environment. While I don’t own a crate, I can accommodate crate training or sleeping arrangements if you provide the crate and request it. In My Client’s Home: I treat your home with the same care and respect as I do my own, ensuring it’s clean and secure while I’m there. I follow your pet’s routines, such as feeding, walks, and playtime, to minimize stress and keep them comfortable. For senior pets or those requiring special attention, I’m experienced in administering medication and providing gentle care. I understand how comforting it is to receive updates and pictures when you’re away—I always appreciate them when I’m apart from my pets. That’s why I make it a priority to keep my clients updated, sharing photos and progress to help you feel at ease knowing your furry family member is happy and cared for. Above all, I’m committed to creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment for every pet I care for, whether it’s in my home or yours.
Information Alexis M. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for me to know as much as possible about your pet’s needs, personality, and routine to provide the best care. Here are some key details I’d like to know ahead of time: • Daily Routine: Feeding schedule, potty breaks, and any specific walk or play preferences. • Behavior: How does your pet interact with other animals and new people? Do they have any quirks, fears, or triggers I should be aware of? • Health Needs: Any medical conditions, medications, or special care instructions. • Training: Are there any commands, routines, or rules you’d like me to reinforce? • Preferences: Favorite toys, activities, or spots for walks/playtime. • Crate Use: If your pet uses a crate, when and how they prefer to use it. The more I know about your pet’s unique personality and needs, the better I can tailor my care to make them feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
A typical day
Each day with your pet is tailored to their needs, whether it’s an overnight stay, multiple visits, boarding, or a quick drop-in. For Overnight Stays or Boarding: A typical day could morning and evening walks, playtime, meals, and plenty of love and attention. Active pets can enjoy outdoor activities at the nearby dog park, my fenced courtyard, or the 606 path, while more relaxed pets can enjoy cuddles and companionship. For Multiple or Short Visits: Each visit focuses on your pet’s needs—potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, or medication. I’ll make the most of every visit to keep your pet happy and comfortable. No matter the service, I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your furry family member is well cared for. My goal is to ensure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away.

Loving Care for Every Pet
Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m a dedicated animal lover with personal experience caring for dogs of all ages. I have two adorable pups at home —a toy poodle and a maltipoo—and I’ve grown up with multiple dogs. I also have experience helping care for my mom’s senior dog, including administering medication. While I’ve never owned cats, I’ve cared for them through pet-sitting and understand their unique needs and personalities. I tailor my care to fit each pet’s needs. Whether it’s energetic playtime, walks or runs in the park, or quiet companionship for a senior pet or independent cat, I’ll ensure your furry friend feels happy and loved. I live in a pet-friendly complex with a park nearby, but I’m also happy to visit your pet’s favorite walking or play spot. I work a flexible hybrid schedule as a mechanical engineer, splitting time between the office and my home office. If needed, I can schedule remote workdays in advance to provide extra care for your pet. I pride myself on being responsible, attentive, and adaptable. Whether you have a dog, a cat, or both, I’d love to give your pets the love and care they deserve!
Reviews

Alexis was a wonderful houseguest and caretaker for our Everest while we were out of town for a long weekend. Would definitely recommend, especially for northern breeds. ;)

Was wonderful with our pup, very responsive, and gave us peace of mind that he was happy and taken care of.

Alexis did an amazing job with my cat! She was able to give him his oral medication (which is not easy to shove down his throat) and his inhaler. She earned his trust and he loved her by the end. Alexis sent me videos and pictures every time she would drop in. I highly recommend her and will be using her again.

Great, succinct communication, friendly, and on time! Alexis walked my two 60lb dogs and did a wonderful job.
