My schedule is pretty flexible, I can work from home. I also go over your personal expectations and preferences, as well as how long a specific pet can be left alone. That way I am aware of their needs and can adapt a schedule to that. 🙂

Safety, trust & environment

I care for each pet very specifically. I like to know about their regular routines, what their personalitie’s are like, how they get along with other animals in the neighborhood etc. The safety of your pets is very important to me! Some pets who love to eat things they shouldn't need a bit of a closer watch and some pets are very easy going and like to mostly sleep! So I take each pet on a case by case basis to make sure they've got the best care they can get and work with you to hear about what they love and how they can best be cared for. I don't take pets into my space, but I have done many house sittings, and treat your space like I would my own.

Information Alexis G. would like to know about your pet

Any medications, medical history or specific needs they have in regards to health issues. Uncomfortability in the vicinity of other dogs while on walks, and if they are prone to chasing animals (like squirrels) are all great things to know in advance.

A typical day

Every pet’s needs (physically and mentally) vary based on breed, age, and medical history. So I cater to specific pets needs—that can mean longer walks, more fetch time, or no walking at all and only affection/quality time. They all, however, get the same amount of care and attention!

Pet care experience

Choosing someone to care for beloved furry friends can be a daunting task—and this is why I’m always honored to care for your pets like I would my own. After working for rover for almost a decade, and with hundreds of pet clients, I’ve gained a wide understanding of the various needs of both owners and pets. The pets I’ve cared for have ranged from chickens, to horses, to rabbits, to puppies, and cats, tiny ones, the biggest ones, the fearful, the calm and sweet, and the playful! One of the best parts of my job is creating rapport with such friendly and open creatures. I remember each pet I care for, and love to watch puppies become incredible adult friends for their owners. 🙂 I cater specifically to your pets needs—feeding times, schedules, and medications (I even have experience giving insulin shots). Prior to beginning on Rover I volunteered at an animal shelter for three years. This labor of love included walking dogs, caring for them, and assisting in pet adoptions. During that time I gained experience handling temperaments of all types, and learned about the unspoken body language that dogs communicate with. Assisting in the adoption process also gave me a wide understanding of the love involved when taking in a pet, and so I am always honored when clients choose to work with me! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to modify, according to the owner’s and pet’s needs. Trust is of utmost importance—I treat others’ spaces, pets, and belongings with the care and respect that I would hope my space is given should I be in the opposite position. Trust and safety are number one! I am honored to be given the trust and vulnerability of someone allowing me into their home, and to interact with such beloved furry family members. I’d love to meet you and your pets!

Alexis was really sweet with my senior dog. She took very good care of my home, as well. Left it in immaculate condition. Would definitely use her again. :)
