Safety, trust & environment

For starters, I've received a Gold check mark on my profile (next to my name) indicating I've passed an enhanced background check, opposed to the basic level blue check mark. For pet care in my home or my client's home, I provide a loving and safe environment tailored to each pet's needs. This includes regular feeding according to their dietary requirements, ensuring they have access to fresh water at all times, and adhering to any medication schedules if needed. I also engage pets in playtime and exercise, whether it's walks around the neighborhood, playtime in our fenced in yard or outside in an open area with a retractable leash or 50 foot BTINESFUL leash, fetch, games indoors, or simply spending quality time cuddling and providing companionship. Additionally, I maintain a clean environment by regularly cleaning up after pets and ensuring their living spaces are tidy and comfortable. Dogs are allowed to roam free in our home & allowed on furniture, except for our bed. I accept only 1 client at a time, unless in some rare cases discussed with both owners & agreed upon before booking (up to 3 dogs, 85 Lbs max combined). To stay prepared for boarding, my home is equipped with towels, blankets, dog bed, pillows, raincoats, harnesses, leashes, toys & supplies such as wipes, poop bags & food bowls. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, enjoyable experience for any dogs under my care, ensuring they feel happy, loved, and well looked after.

Information Alexis F. would like to know about your pet

If your Rover profile lacks information I would like to better understand your dogs needs by asking a few questions. This is to ensure we are both a good fit before scheduling a meet & greet. Questions I may ask: What medications are taken? *List type & times taken* Allergies? Separation anxiety or behavioral issues? How are walks? *Dog must be non-aggressive & manageable for walks* Are all shots up to date? Are you willing to share documentation? What kind of flea/tick treatment is your dog on? *Dog must be dropped off in a clean condition* What is their sleeping arrangements like? Can they sleep on their own? Do they need to be in the same room or are they crated at night? *Our bed is off limits* Please list a few things your dog absolutely needs to feel comfortable (example-Duration of walks, Playtime minimum, toys/treats throughout the day) What is their daily routine with estimated times (example-3 walks/day, 15 minutes each, 9am, 5pm & 10pm) Are they potty trained or do accidents occur? *not accepting dogs who have diarrhea* HOURS & POLICIES: ***FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED*** I do not accept reactive/aggreesive dogs.***** No recently Neutered or Spayed Dogs. 1 month post operation is allowed. Drop off/Pick up hours are varying on the time of the request since our availability has changed, but are generally between 8am-6pm Monday-Friday & 10am -8pm Saturday & Sunday, outside of this time is a $10 fee. Drop off/Pick up times must be within a 30 minute window timeframe and the reason for this is to allow myself to plan my day & coordinate with other clients. If you are running late please let me know as soon as possible. I give a 30 minute grace period, however, anything past 30 minutes can either result in either rescheduling or a late fee of $25 per 30 minutes past the grace period. I do not accept aggressive dogs, dogs with diarrhea or dogs that have a contagious illness or signs of illness. Dogs showing signs of illness will be sent home. Shots must be up to date & I require clients list Vet's information on their Rover profile before drop off. I accept only 1 client at a time (3 dogs max from the same household, under 85 lbs combined) but I am open to also sitting multiple dogs from different homes if both parties are ok with it.

A typical day

Every dog is different so I will make sure they are comfortable in a new environment tailoring to their needs. We like to stay local in our neighborhood for walks. Fetch can be indoors or we like to use our backyard. We also can simply relax with some gentle petting and cuddles. We have Kongs, tennis balls, and lick mats for more engaging activities. I'm open to incorporating any favorite toys or games that your pet enjoys into our time together. Ultimately, my goal is to provide a stimulating and enjoyable experience that keeps pets happy, engaged, and fulfilled while their owners are away. I do not provide service to dog parks or interactions with other dogs on walks. The reason being I like to minimize any potential risks under my care.

Pet care experience

I have extensive experience working with a variety of dogs, including puppies, seniors, and those with special needs. I understand the importance of early socialization and basic obedience training, and I incorporate positive reinforcement techniques to help puppies learn and grow into well-behaved companions. Additionally, I have experience in caring for senior pets, including administering pill medications, accommodating mobility issues, and providing gentle and attentive care to meet their unique needs. Beyond my skills and experience, I prioritize building strong connections with both pets and their owners. I believe in open communication, reliability, and creating a safe and comfortable environment where pets can thrive. Whether it's through regular updates, personalized care plans, or going the extra mile to accommodate specific requests, I strive to exceed expectations and provide peace of mind to pet parents while they're away. Choosing me as your pet sitter means entrusting your furry family members to someone who will treat them with the same love and care as if they were my own.

Alexis is truly the best! Lolo absolutely loves Alexis and her husband Doug! I was provided constant updates and photos during Lolo’s 4 day stay. I felt completely comfortable with his care and med administration. We look forward to rebooking with Alexis soon!

Alexis and Doug are amazing — they spoil Lola with so much play, engagement, and attention every time she stays with them. This time, we had some travel delays coming back and Alexis was so flexible in adjusting our pickup time. We received daily communication and updates (with plenty of pictures!). We’re so thankful we found Alexis and Doug!!
