hi! i’m lex :) animals have always been a huge part of my life and pet sitting is something i genuinely love doing, not just a side job to me. i have about 9 years of experience caring for pets and spent years house sitting for my aunt, who had 5 cats, 4 dogs, and even a koi fish pond. every animal had different diets, routines, personalities, and needs, so i got really comfortable managing all kinds of care and keeping everything organized. i also have experience with senior and special needs pets, including a diabetic cat who needed insulin checks and shots. i know how nerve wracking it can feel leaving your pets with someone else, especially when they need extra care, so i always try to make both pets and owners feel as comfortable as possible. after my aunt passed away, i realized how much i missed taking care of animals and being around them every day, which is what pushed me to start looking for more pet sitting opportunities again. even though i have a cat of my own and live with the sweetest pitty boy ever, i still really miss getting to care for lots of different animals and all of their unique little personalities and routines. i also spend a lot of my free time researching different dog breeds, behaviors, body language, and breed-specific needs because i genuinely find it interesting and love understanding animals better. i know every pet is different and i always try to meet them where they’re at, whether they’re energetic, anxious, stubborn, clingy, older, or just need a little extra patience. i’m the kind of person who will talk to your pets like they’re people, send you way too many updates and pictures, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away :)
