I've grown up around all sorts of animals but really took a liking for dogs when I had a shar-pei pit mix and spent a lot of time training him myself for several years. Recently I've boarded family, friends and neighbors dogs.

I highly recommend Alexis, she has her own pets and absolutely loves all of ours - we have 1 dog, 4 cats; when she comes to groom the dog, she always takes a min or two to also greet the curious cats. Alexis has been grooming and assisting us with training of our 7yo Lab/mix who has severe anxiety. Alexis has been amazing with her; our dog now gets so excited when she sees Alexis coming. Alexis' demeanor with animals is nothing short of amazing, she has so much patience and genuinely shows them she cares about them. She has been so great with our dog that we've even asked for overnight stays with her when we go out of town. She is even currently assisting us in training the dog to not be so intense when she sees people walking by, in addition to providing regular grooming appointments. Alexis is great at communicating any discrepancies in the normal appts/times to ensure we are fully aware of what to expect. She is also great at communicating any concerns that should be taken to the vet.

Schedule
I work from home full time, so I will always be able to give your pup some much wanted attention! I have the flexibility to step away for breaks to go for potty breaks and/or a walk. After work hours I am available for longer walks, basic grooming, or even basic training.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment and go on daily walks around the block. I also have a back yard area where we can play fetch on a training lead, to ensure safety while allowing room to run and play. The doggos have lots of space to play in the living area and bedrooms. If you have a shy pup who wants to keep to themselves, we have an area we can have closed off so they can feel relaxed.
Pets
A typical day
I love to keep dogs stimulated and happy! We will play games and smell all the smells around the neighborhood. If your dog is well socialized we can even go to the park and walk on a trail. I never take a dog to the off leash dog park because there is so much that can go wrong. You never know if others dogs are trained, behaved, or socialized. Your pets will always be safe with me! We will also work on basic commands such as sit, lay, and shake. If you have a specific command you are trying to work on, let me know! A bored dog is a recipe for disaster so we will always be doing some kind of mental and/or physical enrichment.
