I’ve had dogs I’ve cared for all my life, but in the last several years, I’ve specialized in reactive dogs and big dogs (70+ lbs, and I’ve watched dogs as big as 180 lbs). I’ve fostered three pups (two at 6 mo, one at 6-9 yrs) in the last couple years and helped them find their forever homes. Over the past year on Rover and in my neighborhood, I have spent time with senior pups, special needs pups, and anxious pups, as well as puppies as young as 3 months old. I work hard to build trust and mutual respect with your pet through play, positive reinforcement, and consensual engagement. I want to give your dog the one-on-one attention that they deserve and I’ll use positive reinforcement to make sure their needs are met.

I use positive reinforcement and your dog’s behavioral cues to help your dog be at their best! Safety is my first priority, and giving one-on-one attention to your pup helps me ensure that they are safe. I value consent-based interaction and work hard to connect with your pet and learn their individual cues and preferences so that they feel comfortable with me.

Alexis is the best! She's done both walking and house-sitting for our energetic yellow lab, and I can tell that our dog is having all her needs met and also having a great time with her. Bonus points for the truly spectacular photos and updates from their adventures together!
Alexis was a fantastic house-sitter for our high-energy yellow lab Tilly. Alexis is obviously very experienced, and also clearly delights in working with dogs. And Tilly loved Alexis too! It was clear Tilly had a great time when we got back from our trip, and we've already booked Alexis for more!
Alexis did an incredible job with our very needy 15week pup! They had the best time together and she kept us informed the whole time. Our pup was able to stay in his normal routine plus she continued to work on his training while giving him lots of love!

Schedule
I currently work from home, so I am always down for a park walk and can be flexible. Last minute jobs are welcome, especially on weekends and in the afternoon and evening. I have several dogs in my building and neighborhood that I walk during the weekdays, but I will always make sure your pet is okay being left alone for a couple of hours while I do that, and I make sure they are taken care of before I leave so they are comfortable.
