I provide care in clients’ homes through drop-in visits and dog walking only. During drop-ins, I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get potty breaks, and receive plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. I always follow any specific instructions closely so pets can stay on their normal routine and feel comfortable while their owners are away. For walks, I focus on safe, enjoyable exercise that matches each dog’s energy level. I like to let dogs take their time outside and really enjoy their walk—sniffing and exploring their surroundings because I’ve learned that sniffing is basically their way of “reading the newspaper,” and I think it’s important to let them engage with their environment. I always keep them safe on leash while making sure they get a fun, relaxed, and enriching walk.
