Dog-loving family w/ fenced yard
We’re total dog people and would love to shower some love and attention on your furry friend! He/she would be staying with Alexis, Andy, their two dog-loving kids (ages 14 and 12), and their friendly lab mix, Sam, who has never met a dog he doesn’t like (though tends to run around at the dog park most with small dogs, for some reason). We had another dog before Sam, a beagle named Abbey, and have taken care of 50+ other dogs over the years of various ages, breeds and personalities.

Alexis and Andrew communicated regularly and provided pictures every day. We could tell our sweet pup really enjoyed staying with their family.
Alexis and Andrew and their family were wonderful in making both me and Winston feel comfortable. They provided daily updates with pictures on how Winston was doing while I was away. Winston got so many walks, playtime, and loving that he’s now snoozing (snoring) away now that he’s home. I highly recommend Alexis and Andrew, and will definitely be booking with them again!
Our dog had a great stay and came back to us happy and healthy.
They took amazing care of Charlie, he was treated SO well and from the photo update was clearly having a great time!
The dogs had a great time with Alexis and Andrew! We got updates at least twice a day with pictures and our dogs got along well with their dog and the rest of the family! I would highly recommend them!!

Schedule
Andy is at home during the day, so your dog would get lots of attention and potty breaks. We have a fenced yard but also like walks and dog parks, if you give the okay. (The kids would play with your dog in the fenced yard, but only Andy or Alexis would do excursions.) There are also plenty of spots in the house to curl up if your dog needs more alone time.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in a house with a fenced backyard that is quite high so safe even for jumpers. We have lots of experience with dogs who are runners (we’re very good at keeping careful guard of opened doors) as all as those who pull when leashed. We understand that all dogs have quirks and unique needs, and we can adapt our care as needed. Inside, we let our own dog on furniture and beds, but we are happy to enforce whatever rules and routines your dog is used to at home. Our dog is friendly, and has never shown aggression with humans or others dogs. We trust you if you tell us the same, but we are also happy to do a meet and greet to be completely sure the dogs get along. Besides our own dog, we will occasionally host up to two pups. If you would prefer that your dog be the only dog we are watching, please just let us know and we're usually happy to close our other booking spot as long as it isn't already filled.
Pets
A typical day
We'll walk through our super pet-friendly neighborhood, throw balls and frisbees in our fenced backyard, maybe trek in the woods at nearby Tuckahoe Park and then check out Benjamin Banneker dog park. Andy may hit the W&O trail with your dog if that's something he/she would enjoy. And we'll definitely give lots of pets and love while hanging out at home. If your dog is allowed on beds, our kids will likely fight about who gets to snuggle with him/her!
