Information Alexis A. would like to know about your pet

We have younger children and one cat - but they have a lot of experience being around new animals as we've been a Rover family for 10 years. If your dog is aggressive or territorial, s/he would not be a good fit for our home.

A typical day

What we love about Rover (for our own dog when we travel) is that the home environment puts animals at ease. My kids love to play fetch, give tummy rubs and reward dogs with treats. We love to take walks in the neighborhood.

Pet care experience

We are a family of five children, one cat and a rescue 3 legged mini Bernedoodle. Our spacious house has a large yard which borders on a stream - a fun environment if your dog likes to explore! We play fetch, take walks in the neighborhood, play outside and give pet snuggles. Our dogs have never loved the kennel environment - so we understand how important it is to make a dog a part of the family, if only for a few days! I have had 99% excellent experiences with Rover - but want to make sure that our home and time is respected, just as much as I want to make sure your dog is a good fit in our household. A meet and greet is required to book and there will be a half-day fee of $15 if you are more than 1 hour late (without communication, that is, I understand that traveling has its hiccups) picking up your dog. My family takes an active role in making our dog guests feel comfortable and relaxed! I currently work as a teacher two days a week, but it is rare for our animals to be left alone for long stretches of time. We take frequent walks and spend as much time outdoors as possible. Safety is our top priority - our backyard is very Serene and a fun environment for animals to play, but we never let dogs play unattended or without using a leash or lead.

Our dog was happy and well cared for. We appreciated the text updates as well. We would not hesitate to use Alexis and her family again.

Took great care of our pug Cosmo while on 10 day vacation. He’s blind and diabetic so requires extra help. Awesome rover care. We will be back. Tom D

Alexis came for a meet and greet in advance. She impressed us as professional, sweet to our two Westies, and committed to gathering information that would aid her in caring for them. She made us feel so confident in having her do two drop in visits and that helped us have a great time while we were away!

Daisy seems very happy when we picked her back up. Alexis and her family are great.
