I am originally from Sioux Falls, SD and just moved back to the Midwest after just over 8.5 years in California. I grew up with a house full of cats and dogs. I moved to California in 2015 and have been house sitting and checking in on friends and coworkers pets since which includes cats, dogs and reptiles. This includes walking, bathing and feeding and the ages ranged from puppy to full grown. I also nannied for a neighbor during 2020 in lieu of her finding a boarder when she had to go back to working in office. I am super outdoorsy and have taken pets to the river or even kayaking. I grew up riding horses and helping around the farm. I love animals and any excuse to take care of them.

Pet care will vary case by case. I generally meet with the owners as needed and go over expectations and follow any requests or needs outlined. If I have any concerns I work with the owners directly.

Impressed my mom with your kindness and you showed up/had pictures for proof. I think you helped me sell her on using Rover services more often! She handled four dogs, two of whom she didn't have a chance to meet, with ease. Would use her services again!

The best ever I will recommend
We were in town for a wedding and needed someone we could trust to take care of our dog, Dougie, while we were away. Alexia was absolutely amazing! She came to our hotel the evening before to meet us, get to know Dougie, and learn about his routine and needs. That immediately gave us peace of mind. The next day, while we were at the wedding, she visited him twice at the hotel. She took him for walks, played with him, gave him lots of attention, and made sure he was comfortable and happy. Throughout the day, Alexia sent us thoughtful updates and adorable pictures, which meant so much to us. Knowing Dougie was being so well cared for allowed us to fully enjoy the wedding without worrying. We are incredibly grateful for Alexia’s kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, we can’t recommend her enough. Thank you, Alexia! You are the best!
This was our first Rover and would definitely use Alexia again. Both dogs were happy to meet her and we returned to two very content dogs. The reports and photos are reassuring the dogs were happy and being taken care of.👍👍
Alex made me feel comfortable leaving our dogs from the start. Her updates and pictures after every visit were wonderful & appreciated! Will definitely book with her again!
