I currently work seasonally so in the fall and winter months I am a hobbyist, fulfilling little project dreams I have created over the spring and summer. I work with plants mainly but have started a small dog walking venture just in my neighbourhood, my schedule is open and flexible for the time being.

I intuitively have a feeling for what animals may be feeling and am very connected to body languages. It doesn’t take much for me to understand what might be going on with a dog and I have no inhibitions to make sure they feel more comfortable. Having worked with outgoing dogs and shy dogs alike I understand a relationship between animals and human is to be built upon and earned and is not always granted, however sometimes too much is gracefully expressed by the dog ! I am respectful and quiet, I don’t smoke or drink or party and typically am moderately active with walking or swimming but nothing extreme. I initially follow the dogs pace when it comes to walks as I feel it is more their time than it is for me to do routine walks, so sniffing and or excited running are both welcomed and I do not judge.

Let me know any quirks or quarks of the dog as well as anything they love or dislike, I need to know in advance how they are with people or other dogs so when we are outside there will be no problems !
A typical day
We will go on long sniff walks and enjoy their provided enrichment toys , we will play games and also have down time where we can connect and decompress calmly

Pet care experience
My family’s had dogs ever since I could remember and even before that ! As a young adult I cared for my senior family dogs and even adopted a senior into the home when their owner couldn’t handle him anymore. I hold responsibility in routine walking, feeding, companionship and playing and love every minute of it. I currently have no dogs of my own but spend plenty of time with my best friend and his senior dog as it brings much fulfilment and joy in a profound way for me to be a part of enriching her life in any way I can.

Alexia took such good care of a little Holly and we were never stressed at all about leaving her for 2 days with Alexia. We got lots of fun photos updates, Holly was welcomes like one of her family, and had a big fenced yard to explore. We will definitely be using Alexia in the future.
It was clear that my dog Bruce warmed up quickly and was loved during his stay with Alexia… also had a large backyard to rip around in. Recommended and will contact Alexia again in future
Alexia was awesome with Luna. Would recommend and will book her again.
I definitely recommend Alexia to look after your pet - she is responsive, attentive, super considerate and kind. Her prior experience with reactive dogs was evident and she took great care of my dog Luke, who's a large anxious rescue with some big feelings!
