Safety, trust & environment
When animals are in my care, I take every precaution to ensure they are safe. If I am walking a dog, I don’t let them interact with other dogs we may encounter. If it is a very hot day, I go early and/or wait until evening for a walk or exercise. I keep owners informed of everything going on, and I am equipped to deal with any emergencies.
Information Alexi H. would like to know about your pet
If a dog has any behavioral issues, I need to know beforehand. I am experienced with dogs who have issues. Being a big fan of rescued dogs, I realize they sometimes come with some baggage. Nothing to be ashamed about! I just need to know their history. It's helpful to know the commands that you use with your dog. What command do you use for sit, for instance? How does your dog behave on walks? Is there any pulling? Should I cross the street if a person with another dog is coming our way? How about a person without a dog? What about a person on a bike? Are there any rules in the house, like not being allowed on the furniture? Is your dog crate trained?
A typical day
Providing ample attention to your pet while you are away is important. Indoors, I engage your pet with toys and snuggle with affectionate dogs and cats. Outdoors, I play fetch with dogs, and take them on walks in your neighborhood.

Pet care experience
I understand the importance that your pets play in your life, and I will take care of them as if they are my own. For pet owners new to Rover, the following discount code will give you $20 off your first booking: ALEXIH03812. I am an experienced pet sitter for dogs, cats, fish, birds and other critters. I also went to vet tech school and have a lot of medical knowledge. I would love to care for your pets while you are out of town or walk your dogs while you are at work. I enjoy playtime with pets of all ages, from puppies and kittens to seniors. I am able to take care of animals with special needs, including giving shots. I stick to schedules, follow instructions, and give lots of TLC to your furry family. Personally, I have 1 dog and 3 cats. All of my pets have been rescues. Besides my own, I have rescued, fostered and found homes for many cats and dogs over the years.
Reviews

Alexi is great! Returned home to a happy dog.

Alexi was great with sitting our pets at our house. She sent lots of pictures and took good care of them. All the pets seem happy when we got home. She also left the house very clean. We will book again.
Once again Alexi was awesome!
Alexi is wonderful! I have a shy cat baby who hides when strangers come in the house. Alexi made the extra effort to go to the hiding place each day and give my cat treats and talk to her. She’s very thorough and really cares.
