For my full time job I work in the education realm. I am available on weekends. (Friday PM -Sunday PM). I am available for night time drop ins during the week. At this time I’m not taking on any new clients for house sitting unless a spot opens up. But I am available and will continue to take new clients for drop ins and walks. My drop ins include active play time with your dog and a few minutes of clean up and checks to make sure things are back in order. ***At this time if your pet needs constant care or care where they need to be tended 5 hours or less I would not be the best fit. As I have animals and children of my own and other obligations I would need to tend to.*** **for cat drop ins I do require at least 1 visit per day. This ensures the safety of the animals and the safety of your home as well*** I have taken my own children on drop ins when the owner has asked for companionship that suited their animals needs. As stated above my drop in rates include active play/engagement time. With additional charges depending on the need of the dog.

Let me know what your daily schedule is like for your dogs as I like to mimic and get as close to the families routine as possible. This helps transition. I would also like to know your dogs disposition towards other people and dogs as well. And any environmental factors that might shape their behavior.
A typical day
I try to engage the dog by getting to know their likes and interests and using that highly preferred item or task as a reinforcer. I also like to stimulate the dogs by making the games or activity a teachable moment. Going for a controlled walk by engaging the dog and keeping their focus on me as we walk safely and appropriately. For games I like to use different object to fetch and search to stimulate their minds while providing some exercise.

Pet care experience
I currently have one dog of my own. A Lab/Pit Mix whom my family adopted. My family has horses. I have worked and taken care of other animals including cats, farm animals, and exotic animals. I am used to working with a variety of breeds and sizes. Previously owning a Johnson American bull dog has prepared me for taking care of even the most reactive dogs. I am a very cautious walker when doing dog walks and drop ins for exercise and play. I have worked in equine management for about 10 years and I have taken college courses for equine/farm management. I am comfortable with barn animals as well if need be. I have also taken care of exotic animals as well. Iguanas, bearded dragons, geckos, and birds. I always make sure the owner provides me with with a list of the daily run down of routines and we go over goals during the pet care visit that we want to accomplish. I also do light cleaning if needed(vacuuming, wiping counters down if used, getting mail) I have background knowledge in behaviorism and prefer a PR approach. My favorite dog enthusiast and trainer is Tamar Geller, so use the same approaches when taking care of animals.
