A mindful approach to pet care
I currently have one dog of my own. A Lab/Pit Mix whom my family adopted. My family has horses. I have worked and taken care of other animals including cats, farm animals, and exotic animals. I am used to working with a variety of breeds and sizes. Previously owning a Johnson American bull dog has prepared me for taking care of even the most reactive dogs. I am a very cautious walker when doing dog walks and drop ins for exercise and play. I have worked in equine management for about 10 years and I have taken college courses for equine/farm management. I am comfortable with barn animals as well if need be. I have also taken care of exotic animals as well. Iguanas, bearded dragons, geckos, and birds. I always make sure the owner provides me with with a list of the daily run down of routines and we go over goals during the pet care visit that we want to accomplish. I also do light cleaning if needed(vacuuming, wiping counters down if used, getting mail) I have background knowledge in behaviorism and prefer a PR approach. My favorite dog enthusiast and trainer is Tamar Geller, so use the same approaches when taking care of animals.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for animals in clients homes I always do a safety check upon entering and again when leaving. This would include if anything seems out of place, making sure areas are secure.

We were away for a few days. Such a relief to know our cat Soda is well cared for. Alex is reliable and visits on schedule. Sends us pictures to show what Soda is up too and how he’s eating etc. Glad we found her on Rover.

Schedule
For my full time job I work in the education realm. I am available on weekends. (Friday PM -Sunday PM). I am available for early morning, early evening, and night time drop ins during the week. At this time my schedule is limited for new client house sitting request. I do have it open for those whose needs my schedule meets. ***please read below to see if I fit your needs** • my house sitting schedule consist of a schedule that runs as follows with flexibility in time: Overnights start between 7-8 PM and goes until 6-8 AM depending on my schedule for that time. It also includes one drop in during the day/ early evening. • Please note I could also be tending to other animals during that time where my schedule with your animals might vary. Which can be discussed upon meet and greet. • If your animal cannot be left for longer stretches I would not be a good fit for house sitting . Although I ensure during my time your animals basic needs are being meant along with exercise and mental stimulation. I cannot provide constant care or several drop ins a day. • During initial consultation we can determine if housesitting is the best fit for your animal. Often times booking am/pm/night drop ins without overnight stay is a better option for clients upon initial discussion. My drop ins include active play time with your dog, potty breaks, meal time, and a few minutes of clean up and checks to make sure things are back in order. ***At this time if your pet needs constant care or care where they need to be tended 5 hours or less I would not be the best fit. As I have animals and children of my own and other obligations I would need to tend to.*** **for cat drop ins I do require at least 1 visit per day. This ensures the safety of the animals and the safety of your home as well*** I have taken my own children on drop ins when the owner has asked for companionship that suited their animals needs. As stated above my drop in rates include active play/engagement time. With additional charges depending on the need of the dog.

- Let me know what your daily schedule is like for your dogs as I like to mimic and get as close to the families routine as possible. This helps transition. I would also like to know your dogs disposition towards other people and dogs as well. And any environmental factors that might shape their behavior.
