I’ve been petsitting & dog walking with Rover for three now, and I love it! Because this is my primary business, I am able to provide top-quality care and a very flexible schedule. I’ve worked with all breeds and ages of dog (also cats, fish, turtles, chickens, rabbits, snakes, birds, and goats), given oral medication, and given subcutaneous insulin injections. I am comfortable staying at the pet’s house overnight and am not allergic to any animals or food. I can provide references of petsitting clients upon request. The largest families I’ve cared for have been 7 dogs, a cat, and a turtle for 10 days; as well as 10 cats and 2 dogs for 14 days. I have additional animal handling experience from working as a dog bather at PetSmart and as a veterinarian assistant at Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic. If you’re new to Rover, welcome! Please reach out if you have any questions about using the app :) Note about how Rover prices work: Each sitter sets their own rates and Rover takes 20% of the total, as well as service fees. Therefore, your total will be (nightly price x number of nights you’ll be gone) + service fees. The sitter receives 80% of (nightly price x number of nights you’re gone). (Ex. I keep $66 of each night worked.) A little about me :) I go by Alex and I love gardening, reading, and playing D&D with friends. I’d like to go back to school someday to become a librarian! My family has had our 7 year old Mini Schnauzer, Barkley, since he was a puppy. I walk Barkley most days and sometimes take him on car rides and to the dog park. I can walk your dog, take them to the park, or just play at home :)

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is the most important thing when it comes to caring for any fur baby. I only let pets outside off-leash with permission in safe locations and only feed (pet-safe) human food with permission. If you have an invisible fence it should be one the dog does not run through, no matter what they see on the other side. Please let me know if you have particular safety concerns.

Alex did a great job with my 2 senior dogs! House sat for 5 nights, and we came home to house and dogs in great shape! One dog needs more supervision for hot spot treatment, Alex followed instructions and updated us about him. Good communication, sent photos of the dogs at least once a day. Very pleased with the service, would book again!
First time booking with Rover for 3 nights for our dogs and cats. Everything was good, received daily pictures from Alex. Would book again.
If I could leave 0 I would! Rules in the house.. the dog gets into everything! She leaves her "bag" on the table for him to get into then leaves for projected 5 hours! Leaves personal items on the couch for him to chew and destroy! From 10 am to 8:45 pm was here 1 hour and 20 mins. Left at 6:51 back 9:14 gone 9:40 and was planning to come back at 3. Our expectations are not difficult just take care of the dogs and keep them our of harms way and don't let him eat things that would cause an emergency vet visit. Because, of this non "house sitting" we made our decision to come home early and find her things being played with before destruction.
Stayed at my house for one night, did a wonderful job with 2 older dogs. Mg elderly dog requires special care, Alex did a great job with him! Great communication, very responsible and reliable. Would book again!!
Alexandria took fabulous care of Finn. He is an anxious dog and does get up when I am not around. When I got back from my trip I don’t even think he missed me. Which is very positive. I will definitely hire Alexandria in the future.
Alex did a great job watching our bigs dogs, The dogs loved her. Highly recommend.
