Pet care experience

Kennel Tech = Stress-Free Pet Care

I have a dog that house sits with me!! Growing up we always had pets ranging from Great Danes and a Yorkie to Bearded Dragons and Rats. I currently work in a dog rescue as a kennel tech and have two cats and two dogs of my own. I also occasionally foster dogs when I know I’ll be home. I do take my dog, Naya, with me when housesitting! She gets along with all dogs, but we're working on her prey drive with cats (has never gotten ahold of one, but tends to chase) so I'm able to do a crate (or room) and rotate system if that's needed! I’m able to administer pills, have helped birth litters, bottle feed, keep up with surgery restrictions and don’t mind cleaning up messes made by your seniors and babies. I have experience with a variety of animals, so if you have a pet of another species I’m definitely willing to work something out!

Alex took care of our two energetic dogs and two little kitties. She did an excellent job, even giving the allergic one her meds as needed. Came home to find all 4 were treated well. Alex showed up when she said she would, stayed overnight, and left the house as clean as she found it.

This was our first time working with Alex. We have two dogs - one elderly and one puppy - and a cat. Alex stayed in our home and took excellent care of all our furbabies while we were out of state. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation with her in charge. 1000% recommend!

Super sweet and my puppies loved her. She is a natural and I recommend her. I’ve already scheduled more time for services.

Schedule

I work in Bixby and my current work hours are 7:30a-10:30a AND 1p-3p Monday through Friday with weekends off! I normally feed pets breakfast before I leave for work in the morning and go back home for my lunch and their potty breaks. Evenings at home usually consist of pet snuggles while watching tv, play time in the backyard and Naya isn’t on a consistent dinner schedule so she will eat dinner whenever yours do!

-How do they do with other animals and different people? -Do they have any triggers? (Ex: “protective” of the front door or will bolt if it’s opened, hates their nails or tail touched, resource guards toys/food/attention, will jump the fence to chase squirrels, etc) -Will I need to do anything special to get them to eat while you’re away? -If they are to get dirty/muddy while in my care, how will they do with bathing, brushing, and the blow-dryer? -What is their play-style? Do they like tug, fetch, keep-away, or are they more of a couch potato? -Do I need to keep specific things out of their reach? (Shoes, socks, toes, tv remote, phone, keep food in cabinets for counter surfers, etc) -For those who request walks!!!! Additional $10 added per 30min walk!!! Unless they walk very well together, I will walk everyone separately!!!! Example: You have two Labradoodles, one pulls and the other is calmer, and you also have a Maltese. I would start with the more active dog, then walk the other two calm and small together. That would be an additional $20 per day if they get one daily 30 min walk. If they get two daily walks or a single one hour walk, it would be an additional $40 per day, and so on. I will math it and send it to you for confirmation!
