A home away from home
I’ve been taking care of dogs almost full time for the past two years, and for 3 years before that I took care of our family’s dog, Lobo. I dream of one day having my own dog but for the time being this isn’t possible, so Rover allows me to fulfill that dream for the time being! We’re a super fun house, I am an energic person that love taking walks in the city, and there’s always a coloc ready to play or pet! I know the basic concepts of dog training and can recognize signs of physical stress or illness. I’m also capable of administering medicine.

Que du bon à raconter sur Alexandre ! Il a pris en charge mon chien à la dernière minute et l’a traité de petit prince dans son bel et grand appartement où il y avait énormément d’espace pour que mon petit explore et s’installe. Il lui a faut des promenades dans le Bois de Vincennes à côté pendant le séjour et il m’a envoyé également des mises à jouer quant à l’état de mon petit. J’ai l’impression que Laszlo (mon chien) était triste de partir de chez Alexandre ! Hautement recommandé, un dogsitteur à perfection !
Notre chat a passé un très bon séjour chez Alexandre, il nous a tenu informé avec des photos tout au long de nos vacances.

Second time with Alex. Bilu looked very happy to arrive at Alex’s place and did not even notice us leaving!
Alex watched our little 13yo Yorkshire Terrier, Bilu for a month while we were on vacation. It was the longest we have ever left him with a sitter. Bilu has a few health issues and takes twice daily medications and supplements. As a rescue dog, from a traumatic situation, he can be nervous and anxious in some situations. Leaving him for such a long time was very stressful for us. It was essential that we could trust that his sitter was totally on top of all his medical requirements and sensitive to his behavioural needs. Alex managed all of Bilu’s care perfectly. He took the time to fully understand everything that was required for Bilu’s daily care and was proactive in checking whenever he wasn’t sure. We won’t hesitate to book Alex again next time we travel.

Schedule
I’m a freelance worker and work from home everyday so taking care of a dog fits very nicely in my routine. I play with them when I need a small break and enjoy a long walk during the lunch break.

Safety, trust & environment
I’m very attentive at all times! I enjoy the company and will normally lounge with the dog in the couch when we’re relaxing or in my bed while I’m working. I take them on a walk every 2-3h, unless the owner recommends less (it’s good for them and for me!). I try to avoid having people besides my roommates around a lot when dog sitting to not overwhelm them. I also make sure there’s nothing that could be harmful for them (something on the floor they could eat etc).
A typical day
During a normal day I’m working from home so I enjoy playing with the dogs during my breaks. I throw their toys, organize little obstacle runs at home and give lots of cuddles! I live in the heart of Paris so I have great options for walking and I enjoy exploring different areas with the dogs each time. Some of my favorites are the park of Anne Frank, the Seine right next to Pont Neuf or the park of the Tour St Jacques.
