I recently moved from Brazil to Peterborough and have always had a deep love for animals. Back in Brazil, I volunteered at local animal shelters, gaining valuable experience caring for both cats and dogs. Now, I continue my volunteer work at the Peterborough Humane Society, helping ensure pets are happy and well cared for. I’m naturally more of a cat person, but I truly enjoy spending time with dogs as well. I’m patient, responsible, and committed to giving every pet the love and attention they deserve.

We booked Alex for a full week to watch our two cats; it was our first time working with him. My only complaint is that Alex forgot the lights on for a total of 3 nights (the first 2 nights and last night of his booking, after I had already reminded him to turn them off on the second night). This was a bit of a security concern for us because the room where the light was left on was facing the street which made it very obvious that we were away on vacation. Otherwise, we noticed a couple instructions not being entirely followed. For ex: he fed the cats their wet food but did not rinse out the cans, so we came home to stinky cans that the cats had tried to retrieve from the recycling bin. Nothing catastrophic, but I just expected the written instructions we left at the entrance to be followed more closely. That being said he was very polite and punctual and even cleaned up after one of our cats when she had a hairball. He’s definitely very passionate when it comes to pets, but he wasn’t the right fit for us.

Alexandre is an amazing cat sitter. He stayed at my home to take care of my cat, Ed, while I was away for five days, and he was incredibly attentive and responsible. He kept everything very clean and organized, and made sure to clean the areas where Ed spends most of his time. Unfortunately, Alexandre no longer lives in Brazil, but if I ever had the chance, I would absolutely ask him to take care of Ed again. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!
Alexandre was fantastic! Took excellent care of my cat and sent me updates and photos the whole time, which was awesome. My cat seemed super happy and chill. Totally recommend them and would have them watch my cat again in a heartbeat.

I’m flexible and happy to work with your schedule! I’m generally available: Weekdays: mornings and afternoons Weekends: full day availability I can accommodate regular dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays with prior notice. I love spending time with pets and can adjust my schedule to meet their needs.
