Availability
Unfortunately I work a rolling schedule-- this means I receive the hours I'll be working the next week on Fridays/Saturdays. It is the slow season, so I am working less days, but I still require 3 days notice in case I happen to have a shift lined up when you'd need me.

Safety, trust & environment
The most important thing about caring for an animal is not crossing their boundaries and making them uncomfortable within their own home. Should your dog be reactive or there be concerns of food/property protective/aggressive behavior, I ask that I am warned ahead of time so I can ensure I don't cross those boundaries and can best ensure the safety of myself and the animal(s). I follow instructions to a 'T', including medications and any additional care required (especially for older dogs!). I can provide basic equipment such as a leash, poop bags, and treats (barring any allergies, which I also ask to be notified of).
Information Alexandra W. would like to know about your pet
Any behaviors that are important to note prior to caring for your family member. Even things that can seem inconsequential or that seem to be developing-- that way I can ensure both myself and your furry kid are safe throughout.
A typical day
It's so important to ensure dogs receive the proper amount of both mental and physical stimulation. It can depend heavily on the breed, but luckily there are plenty of unique activities to ensure every dog can have the best day! For nervous dogs, there are plenty of indoor activities we can do, along with secluded walks that keep them exercised without overwhelming them with sights, sounds, and other people/animals.

Professionally trained to care!
Pet care experience
!! DUE TO A SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED ISSUE THAT HAS RESULTED IN A LOSS OF HOUSING, PRICES HAVE BEEN TEMPORARILY INCREASED !! If you are a returning client, you can request the original pricing of the service. Thank you ^^ I have two+ years of professional caretaking experience, working with dogs of all temperaments, ages, and ranges of needs and training others to do the same. I am trained to handle dogs dealing with reactivity, resource guarding issues, etc. with a priority on quality of care and safety of myself, your beloved pet, and passerby (when relevant). Since graduating from Temple University in May of 2024, I have been working at a boarding and animal caretaking facility that has allowed me to expand my experiences and learn the best ways to care for your pets while you're away! I've worked with hundreds of dogs--a variety of ages, breeds, and temperaments. Additionally, I have experience working with reactive pets, whether that reactivity be directed towards people or other animals. I'm trained to give pets medications and to assure they receive the highest quality of care while in my charge. All pets require different levels of engagement and care--I am more than willing to provide exactly what you and the furry little members of your family may need! It is currently the 'slow season' at work, however my shifts usually amount to between 32-38 hours per week. I primarily work the 7:30AM-4:30PM (Daycare) or 12:00PM-9:00PM, but am willing to care for kids prior or following these shifts! USUAL AVAILABILITY SUNDAY: 8AM - 10PM MONDAY: 8AM - 10PM TUESDAY: 5PM - 7PM WEDNESDAY: 5PM - 10PM THURSDAY: 8AM - 10PM (This day is my most varied with work, and may instead match Friday/Saturdays availability). FRIDAY: 8AM - 10:30AM; 9:30PM - 10:30PM SATURDAY: 8AM - 10:30AM; 9:30PM - 10:30PM

Reviews

Alexandra went above and beyond when there was an unexpected issue with cat sitting!!

Alex was so great! She kept the sink and food area clean and had thorough reports each day of how Milo was doing !

Always above and beyond with my fur baby Alina! Highly recommend!

Alex was a great sitter for my cat! Juniper is pretty wary of strangers, and Alex was perfect at respecting her boundaries and space, all while caring for Juniper when I was away for a month. Alex provided thorough updates and always ensured all of my concerns were addressed!
