Safety, trust & environment
My partner or I are usually around to supervise, and we have mostly dog-proofed our house at this point. We don’t board more than three dogs at a time— usually only one or two, except during major holidays we will accept more and prepare accordingly.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors that I should look out for. Things always go better if I am fully aware of your pets personality and potential issues.
A typical day
This all depends on the situation and care instructions. I have two dogs, Francis and Maggie, who are very friendly and makes a great playmate for most dogs. My partner and I take dogs for two or three full walks per day and let them out as much as necessary.

Professional, loving animal care
Pet care experience
Profile updated September 2024 About me: Hello pet parents! I am a lifelong animal lover who had been working with dogs professionally for about ten years, and casually since I was a kid. I am currently boarding dogs at our country home in Noti, Oregon, about 30 min west of Eugene. I am usually able to pick up and drop off dogs in Eugene since I drive into town almost every evening for petsitting jobs— drop in visits and dog walks. We had a baby earlier this year so I am home during the day with the baby and usually do my petsitting jobs in the evenings. Because of the baby I am no longer housesitting. About our setup: We live on a nine acre, fully fenced in property. We run a small farm and have chickens and alpacas (all in their own fenced in areas). We take dogs for walks two or three times per day. Dogs can be off leash if they listen, but we can also leash walk dogs. We crate dogs at night in our living room. This is a requirement since we had trouble with letting dogs have free reign unsupervised. Dogs must be nonaggressive (mild reactivity is normal during introductions, but we do not work with truly aggressive dogs). Dogs must be comfortable sleeping in a crate for up to eight hours at night (since I am almost always home during the day, we don’t generally need to crate dogs during the day). We are also able to board cats, we have a dedicated spare room that we use for cat boarding, so we keep cats and dogs separated:) Thank you for considering me for the job!
