I’m a lifelong New Yorker and Upper West Side resident with a lifelong love of animals. I grew up with a Wheaten Terrier, and “dog-dog” was even one of my first words as a baby! I have over 15 years of experience caring for animals, including volunteering with Animal Haven and working as an Adoption Specialist at Best Friends Animal Society, where I worked with both dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I have experience with dog walking, daycare, overnight sitting, in-home pet care, cat sitting, and drop-in visits. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different temperaments and needs, including senior pets and those who require medication. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and personality, whether your dog wants a long walk and plenty of playtime or your cat prefers a quiet visit and some company. I treat every pet as if they were my own and want you to have complete peace of mind while you’re away.

I cannot say enough great things about Ali. Our dog Scout would bark uncontrollably at people and dogs who approached on the street. In just a few sessions she is now able to focus on us and remain calm during walks, something we never thought possible! I highly recommend Ali for anyone who has a pet in need of help.
Alexandra was a great pet sitter! She was responsible and trustworthy. It also helped that she was easy to talk to and responded fast to my messages. She made sure to ask any questions about Miles to make sure we were both comfortable. She was warm and friendly so I knew immediately that she would be great with him. When I was away on my trip I didn't worry at all! I knew my little Miles was in good hands! I would definitely recommend her to watch anyone's little furry family member! She was wonderful!!
I don't know anyone who loves caring for dogs more than Alexandra! She is loving, patient, kind and dedicated to my dog's well being. She knows how to get even th most rambunctious dogs to obey, all with a loving heart, that dogs certainly feel. Alexandra is reliable, and was always on time for our agreed upon times. I highly recommend her.

Schedule
I work a hybrid schedule, so I’m mostly free Friday through Monday, including my work-from-home days. Tuesday through Thursday I’m in the office, but I’m available before and after work. This gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my week while making sure I have plenty of time to give each pet the attention, walks, playtime, and love they need!

I live in a quiet, pet-friendly elevator building on the Upper West Side, just 1.5 blocks from Riverside Park, which makes getting outside for walks and playtime easy. There are a few steps to enter the building before reaching the elevator. I don’t have any pets of my own, so your pet can have my full attention. I’m happy to care for more than one pet at a time when arranged in advance, including multiple pets from the same household. I also have crates available if your dog is crate-trained or prefers having one as a safe, comfortable space. I provide a calm, comfortable environment and am attentive to each pet’s individual needs and routine. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority!
A typical day
Every pet has a different routine, so I like to tailor the day to their individual needs and personality. For dogs, that might mean a long walk around the Upper West Side and Riverside Park, some playtime and enrichment, or a more relaxed day with plenty of cuddles and downtime. I make sure dogs get both physical exercise and mental stimulation, while also sticking to their normal feeding, walking, and rest schedules. For senior dogs or those with lower energy, I’m happy to take things at a slower pace. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel comfortable, happy, and at home while they’re in my care!

Every dog is different, so I’d love to know a little about your pet before their stay or visit! How are they with new people and other animals? Are they social and playful, or more shy and independent? Do they enjoy dog parks and socializing, or prefer one-on-one walks? Are they a couch potato who would rather relax at home with some company? Please also let me know about any behavioral concerns, medical needs, medications, routines, or anything else that will help me give your pet the best possible care. The more I know about your pet, the better I can make sure they feel comfortable and happy while they’re with me!
