Availability
I am self-employed and have a flexible schedule. Pet sitting is a big part of what I do, but there will be days when I'm out of the house for a few hours or longer (on occasion up to 8 hours, but that's not a regular thing) tending to my other work. For the most part, I have ample availability during the week and/or weekends for pet sitting or other pet care...and I will divulge any prior obligations that would pull me away for large chunks of time before we book to make sure you're comfortable with my schedule during the stay.

Safety, trust, and comfort are at the core of my care. In your home, I make sure all potentially hazardous items are out of reach and create a calm, secure environment for your pet. I stay attentive and present—checking in regularly so your furry friend is never left unattended for long. On walks, your dog will always be securely leashed, and outings stay within the routes and activities you’re comfortable with. I honor each pet’s boundaries and follow their cues, letting them “tell” me what they want or don’t want during our time together. I also take home security seriously—keeping doors locked, alarms or lights used as instructed—and will treat your home with the same TLC as I would my own. I’m prepared for emergencies and stay calm and level-headed, contacting you and your vet (if needed) to ensure your pet gets prompt attention. If your pet has any special needs or medical considerations, please let me know before booking so I can give them the most thoughtful, personalized care possible.

To help me care for your pet as if they were my own, I’d love to know about their daily routine (mealtimes, walks, and house rules), any medical (or other special) needs or allergies, their personality and behaviors, and how they interact with other animals and people. Tell me about their favorite activities, comfort items, and any quirks or triggers I should be aware of — anything that helps me understand what makes them feel safe, happy, and at home.

That depends on your pet! If you book with me, I have a couple of questions I like to ask to help me understand your pet's vibe. I am very in tune with my inner child, so there are really no limits to the fun that can be had once I know what your furbaby enjoys :)

Animals have always held a special place in my heart, which is why pet sitting is something I genuinely love—not just something I offer. For years, I’ve been the go-to sitter for friends and family, caring for furbabies of all types, personalities, and quirks. I’ve grown skilled at intuitively understanding what each animal needs, whether that’s high energy playtime, gentle cuddles, slow bonding, or simply a calm presence while their humans are away. When your furbaby is with me, they’re treated like family. I honor their routines, keep their world peaceful and fun, and make sure they feel safe & loved. We’ll spend our time doing the things that make them happiest, and I’ll keep you connected with plenty of photos, videos, and sweet updates—so you feel close to them every step of the way.

Alexandra (aka Kai) is AMAZING!!!! She stayed in our home for the week and took great care of our dog while we were away! She sent us lots of updates and pictures throughout the day which we loved and we could tell our dog really enjoyed his time with her! Super quickly Xan has become my go to dog sitter! Super professional and great communication, I always feel comfortable when she’s staying with my pup (which has been 6+ times including two week long trips). Would recommend Xan to anyone!
If I have ever experienced someone so perfect for my two dogs, dogs it’s Xan. Immediate connection and response from the dogs. Xan has command of them, but understands what they want and need also. Would likely never call on anyone else to take care of my dogs..
I high recommend Xan for any pet care needs. She always took such good care of my dogs and was so loving to them. She treated them as if they were her own. She is also fantastic with cats! Xan is incredibly responsible and has a genuine passion for animals. She also takes such good of your home, treating it as if it was her own. Any pet in Xan’s care will receive exceptional attention and affection.
