Animals have always held a special place in my heart, which is why pet sitting is something I genuinely love—not just something I offer. For years, I’ve been the go-to sitter for friends and family, caring for furbabies of all types, personalities, and quirks. I’ve grown skilled at intuitively understanding what each animal needs, whether that’s high energy playtime, gentle cuddles, slow bonding, or simply a calm presence while their humans are away. When your furbaby is with me, they’re treated like family. I honor their routines, keep their world peaceful and fun, and make sure they feel safe & loved. We’ll spend our time doing the things that make them happiest, and I’ll keep you connected with plenty of photos, videos, and sweet updates—so you feel close to them every step of the way.

Safety, trust, and comfort are at the core of my care. In your home, I make sure all potentially hazardous items are out of reach and create a calm, secure environment for your pet. I stay attentive and present—checking in regularly so your furry friend is never left unattended for long. On walks, your dog will always be securely leashed, and outings stay within the routes and activities you’re comfortable with. I honor each pet’s boundaries and follow their cues, letting them “tell” me what they want or don’t want during our time together. I also take home security seriously—keeping doors locked, alarms or lights used as instructed—and will treat your home with the same TLC as I would my own. I’m prepared for emergencies and stay calm and level-headed, contacting you and your vet (if needed) to ensure your pet gets prompt attention. If your pet has any special needs or medical considerations, please let me know before booking so I can give them the most thoughtful, personalized care possible.

Alexandra (aka Kai) is AMAZING!!!! She stayed in our home for the week and took great care of our dog while we were away! She sent us lots of updates and pictures throughout the day which we loved and we could tell our dog really enjoyed his time with her! We were able to enjoy our vacation completely stress free knowing our dog and home were in such great hands! :)
Super quickly Xan has become my go to dog sitter! Super professional and great communication, I always feel comfortable when she’s staying with my pup (which has been 6+ times including two week long trips). Would recommend Xan to anyone!
If I have ever experienced someone so perfect for my two dogs, dogs it’s Xan. Immediate connection and response from the dogs. Xan has command of them, but understands what they want and need also. Would likely never call on anyone else to take care of my dogs..
I high recommend Xan for any pet care needs. She always took such good care of my dogs and was so loving to them. She treated them as if they were her own. She is also fantastic with cats! Xan is incredibly responsible and has a genuine passion for animals. She also takes such good of your home, treating it as if it was her own. Any pet in Xan’s care will receive exceptional attention and affection.
I had an excellent experience using Xan as my cat sitter. It was my first time hiring a sitter (and using Rover), so I was nervous, but I could not have asked for a better match for us. Xan was consistently punctual, provided detailed updates with photos, and took great care to maintain feeding routines and my cat’s environment. Pepper is a shy cat 🐈⬛ and gets nervous around new people, but Xan’s calm energy was perfect for Pepper. On top of taking excellent care of Pepper my home was also well taken care of. Returning to a clean home and a calm, happy cat - I couldn’t ask for better. I am thrilled to have found Xan and will be booking again. 10/10
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Xan is incredible. Xan is truly one of the best pet sitters. She’s reliable, kind, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. There have been many times when I was able to refer clients to because I was already booked and Xan stepped in to help without hesitation, and every single time, the feedback from our shared clients has been outstanding. We've even partnered on extended stay visits, and the hand off is always smooth and I know she's reliable, and responsible. She has also watched my own dog, Millie, on multiple occasions, and knowing Millie is with Xan gives me total peace of mind. Millie absolutely adores her! Xan sends great updates, follows instructions perfectly, and treats every pet as if they were her own. If you’re looking for someone you can trust completely with your furry family member, Xan is the one. I can’t recommend her enough!

Programa
I am self-employed and have a flexible schedule. Pet sitting is a big part of what I do, but there will be days when I'm out of the house for a few hours or longer (on occasion up to 8 hours, but that's not a regular thing) tending to my other work. For the most part, I have ample availability during the week and/or weekends for pet sitting or other pet care...and I will divulge any prior obligations that would pull me away for large chunks of time before we book to make sure you're comfortable with my schedule during the stay.
