Pet care experience

Giving your pet the best time possible!

I’ve taken care of my family dog from her puppy years to her senior ones. I’ve been entrusted to feed, walk, bath and groom her and take her on a variety of long walks and various other adventures, as well as most importantly giving her the love and attention she deserves! I treat every pet as my own, and love to give them the best time possible!! I am also very in tune with each individual pets needs and requirements and ensure that I meet those needs. As well as my own dog (who lives with my family), I have been entrusted to look after pets both in my own home as well as house sitting on many occasions, ensuring to take into account their individual needs. I also looked after my family cat from a kitten into her very senior years (until she was 20!), taking on full responsibility for her medication and grooming needs.

Alexandra was an excellent dogsitter throughout the whole process, responding quickly and taking care with Moka’s routine and fear of fireworks over Halloween weekend. She took him for a long walk and gave him plenty of cuddles on the sofa, he came back a happy boy! I will definitely be contacting Alexandra if I’m needing dogsitting in the area and would highly recommend her as a caring and trustworthy sitter.

Lexi was an absolute star, would 100% request her again :D our dog is a rescue who can be very funny about very specific things, Lexi handled him very well even in the face of adversity. Lexi stayed at ours so our dog could still have him usual comforts and routine, she was a great house guest and our dog has a new best friend :D

I cannot say enough good things about Alexandra!! I wouldn't hesitate to book her to look after Elsie again, and it was so lovely to see how well Elsie settled into her holiday home. We were sent regular updates, and it was clear to see how much Alexandra enjoys pup-sitting too. Elsie had a bit of an upset tummy whilst we were away, which could have been a worry, however I was totally confident that Alexandra knew what was best and we were able to enjoy our holiday without any concerns. Elsie gives a huge 5 paws out of 5 and is already wondering when we're going away again! Top marks all round from us!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I currently work from home during the week and can be very flexible to accommodate the walks, toilet breaks, play time and general company for your pet. I aim to not disturb their usual routine as far as possible, and will go out my way to give them a good time.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I have a small fenced front garden and back yard for toilet purposes or for smaller dogs to play (never left unattended). Principally, I live a 2 minute walk from the canal, a park, and a 10 minute walk from pitchcroft/peridswell which would be the primary source for toilet breaks/walks. If your pet enjoys car journeys, I also love to go walking in the surrounding countryside. My family dog lives close by, so if your pet fancies a play day or walk with a friend this is also an option! In my home, I can house a crate for medium or small dogs, but big dogs welcome too if no crate required. Pets are welcome everywhere (other than on the bed) and can be closed off into the porch or kitchen if necessary. My aim is to provide your pet with the most non- disruptive and enjoyable experience possible!

A typical day

Entirely dependent on your dogs needs! I’ll always take your dog outside in the morning, whether it be a toilet break or a long walk before I start work. Your dog has the option to be beside me all day or have their own space. I’ll happily walk, play and feed your pet as well as meet their enrichment needs, before another toilet break in the evening and/or at lunch time (depending on their preferences!). Car journeys, walks in the countryside or with other dogs if you wish, I can definitely find the right fun to suit your dog!

Ideally would be good to know your dogs walking, eating, sleeping arrangements as well as what makes them tick! Would be good to know if any issues/likes/dislikes in particular and what you’d like from to so I can make sure I can cater to your dogs needs.
