Availability
I work full time from my home and without set hours. My children are at school during most of the day. On weekdays we like to go for walks in our neighborhood in the early evening. On the weekends we like to go to the city parks and it is definitely more fun to bring a dog.

I have a large wraparound yard that is fenced and a dog door which I can close when needed. I like to take walks in the morning and early evening times. Dogs must be kid friendly. I have 2 daughters: a 6 and 5 year old. They love dogs and enjoy the care part (walking, feeding, brushing, bathing---it's fun for them). The girls are at school most of the day so your dog will get a break. We regularly take the dogs we care for to Himmel and Rio Vista park; we are there a lot. I have one female 8 yr old cat who is used to dogs but also wants her space (dog should be cat friendly).

Information Alexandra Q. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know your dog's temperament. I can only take dogs who are the calmer side, that are good with cats, and children. Older dogs preferred. Bringing your dog's bed and a few toys is always a great idea to make it feel more comfortable.
A typical day
I like to take walks in the early morning or evening in the summer (obviously). If it's nice weather, I will get out anytime. I like to hike and jog, and love doing this with a dog. We love to throw a ball around in our yard or play tug-of-war.

Pet lover family w/large yard
Pet care experience
My childhood home always had at least 2 dogs and 2-3 cats. Pets are and always have been an integral part of my idea of family. Besides my own pets, I have taken care of friends' and neighbors' pets my whole life. And I love to take dogs on little adventures. Seeing the excitement on a dog when just going to the neighborhood park or wash makes the trip so much more fun.
Reviews
Alexandra provided photos and regular updates. No worries with leaving our dog there.

We were so happy that we chose Alexandria to watch our beloved dog She walked her every morning and sent pictures of her back to us- showing our dog Sonny playing with her daughter She was available right away if we had any questions and responded within just a few minutes

Thanks again for the stay! I appreciate everything you do for Addie. I know she enjoys your outdoor space.

A very sweet family, my anxious/sensitive dog was very lucky to have such a nice place to stay over the holidays. I could tell by the way he interacted with the kids as we were leaving that he trusted them, which says a lot (he's tolerant of kids, but will leave a wide berth if he finds them to be "too much"). Lovely to communicate with as well.
