Alexandra did a wonderful job with our two dogs. She went above and beyond by vacuuming and starting laundry. I would definitely have her back.

Unfortunately, this stay did not go as expected. Our puppy was clearly overtired and needed a crate nap, but instead of settling her for a nap, she was taken on additional walks to “let out her energy.” This seemed to make the situation worse, and the sitter appeared unsure how to handle normal puppy behaviours such as nipping, jumping, and chewing. We explained how to put our puppy down for a forced nap in her crate, but instead of following that guidance, we continued receiving videos of the puppy biting and scratching. We were also told that our puppy needed obedience training and that we had not booked a “7-hour walk session” or “7-hour obedience session.” We were not asking for either—we simply expected appropriate puppy care, including recognizing when an overtired puppy needs to sleep. There were also some communication and care concerns. The sitter arrived almost 10 minutes late. When we offered to end the stay early and my husband offered to leave work and be home within an hour, she did not respond and instead left without informing us or anyone at home. She ended the stay through customer service, leaving us unaware that she had already left. Our dog camera also became inactive afterward, so we were unable to monitor our puppy. We also noticed that dinner was given at 4:00pm instead of her usual 5:00pm feeding time, and her slow feeder was placed inside the crate, making it difficult for her to eat properly. (Puppy has to spin around the bowl to make the food drop out.) We understand that puppies can be challenging, and we would have been completely understanding if the sitter felt the puppy was beyond her comfort level. However, the lack of communication and the decision to leave without notifying anyone were disappointing. Overall, we would recommend getting another sitter for handling young puppies.

Alexandra was great with our chocolate lab puppy she loved her and was calm and relaxed the whole stay. She was always punctual and super patient with our high-energy pup. Would definitely recommend.

She accepted Harley on very short notice, which I really appreciated. She’s incredibly flexible whenever I need to change his walking time, and she’s also been so helpful in sharing tips and tricks to help with Harley’s separation anxiety. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with, and I feel very comfortable leaving Harley in her care. Highly recommend!
