In the home of clients, I always like to write a list with the client of the daily expectations and I keep a planner to note when your pet has eaten, gotten exercise, and used the bathroom to ensure their comfort. Clear communication is important to me and that you feel comfortable with me in your space and with your pet(s). If your pet takes any medications, I'd request to watch you administer/prepare it once so I know exactly what you and your pet are comfortable with.

I would love to know if you and your pet have any rituals or habits that would bring them comfort- a song to help them eat or a comfort corner to put their toys. Any daily commands you use would also be helpful, including any terms you have for eating, bed time, walk, etc. I'd like to know about their diets and daily routine so I can notice any changes.

All of the pets I've had the joy of living with temporarily love to have human company and attention (I end up talking to them often). With dogs I love to play tug of war and chase them around, followed by pets and snuggles. For cats, I enjoy following them with a brush and giving them scratches, let them play with an ice cube, and I've perfected how to use wire toys.

I'm the proud Aunt of a 3 year old male cat that I've watched since he was a kitten and cared for a 14 year old lady cat throughout college. I have the pleasure of watching a young Golden Doodle for over a week at a time and we love to go on walks, run around, and cuddle especially when she gets anxious. I also watch a 9 year-old Springer Spaniel who takes both morning and afternoon medicine. I briefly worked as a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) and am comfortable with administering medication to your pet(s). Despite family members having allergies, I have always loved meeting pets and getting to know them and their unique quirks.

Alexandra was a tremendous caregiver to our cats, Millie and Maggie!! Millie was sick just before we left for our 2-week trip to Japan and had daily "accidents" all over the house while we were gone. Alexandra cleaned up the mess, showing us pictures of "before and after" the clean-up. Her remarkable care will never be forgotten! She was also able to coax our very shy Maggie out to give some treats. That's never happened before. Thank you, Alex!!
Alex stayed at our house for the weekend and watched our two dogs including one that is quite reactive and anxious and she was great with them! We will continue to use her in the future!
Our dogs love Alex. We use her for house sitting, dog walking and check-ins all the time. She is loving, reliable and a great communicator.
