I'm currently working part-time from home in Mystic, CT, so I have a lot of flexibility in terms of visits, walks, potty breaks, and more. I'm available daytime, nights, and weekends.

I have a fully fenced yard, as well as crates and baby gates in my home. I prefer the use of halters (vs collars) on walks to ensure there's no collar-slipping and to help with pulling. Retractable leashes are not my preference. I prefer to walk dogs away from busy roads and like to stick to sidewalks whenever possible, but in cases where traffic is a factor, I use a short-leash method to keep dogs close, safe, and under control.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, preferences, or behavior quirks I should know about ahead of time, or if there are any special activities or training routines you use with your dog. (For example, with mine, before handing her a treat, I tell her "Slowly" so she knows to take the treat slowly).

I love to find fun new walks for dogs. For more athletic dogs, I know quite a few trails in the area and would love to help your pet discover a love of walking in the woods (I'm careful to avoid densely grown trails for the sake of ticks!). For dogs that prefer to be inside or stick close to home, there are plenty of games we can play (tug, fetch, treasure hunt) or tricks we can try!

I'm a lifelong dog lover who spent summers as a kid volunteering at the local pet shelter, helped to care for and train foster dogs, dogsat for friends and neighbors, and currently am proud and loving dog-mama to the world's cutest, sweetest pittie.
