Safety, trust & environment
I am used to working with both indoor and outdoor kept animals. I can offer walks, drop-ins, and offer house sitting to my regular clients if needed. I am a tidy person, and spend most of my time focused on the dog(s) and their schedule as it is important to me to keep them as comfortable as possible while their family is away! As mentioned in my dog care profile, I have a lot of experience with dogs that are termed 'difficult' and believe in communication based on positive reinforcement <3 In the case of emergency I am easy to call, and will message if I am unsure about anything regarding your pets care. Any damages accrued to your property due to your pet during a visit is not liable to Rover or its employees, but I will take the utmost care to prevent damage from occurring in the first place.
Information Alexandra M. would like to know about your pet
The dogs(s) dietary requirements/feeding schedule, medications & schedules, whether a dog is high-energy, reactive, nervous etc. Any special temperament needs. Sharing this information could prevent incidents from occurring during visits and walks and keep you from having anything to worry about while you are away!
A typical day
Go for a walk in the park, sniff things, do some training, throw toys, practice patience, keep them engaged and try to make them tired! I try to be flexible with each pets needs for space, affection, and play! I only use positive reinforcement and redirection when interacting with dogs so imagine a walk full of tasty treats, lots of fun things to sniff outside, and having a sit occasionally to watch people go by. Also happy to take your dog and play fetch etc. if you have a longline/long lead or do some trick training with things they already know. For older dogs, I'm just as happy as they are to do a potter around the block or garden and then go sit inside and give them a fuss.

Pet care experience
***2026 update: I have lots of spaces for weekly walking clients currently 😄*** Hello! I have always loved studying and working with all sorts of creature big and small. I have owned and cared for a wide variety of domestic pets throughout my life. Since 2021 I have worked intermittently as a dog walker and house sitter. I am based off Smithdown and tend to use public transport as I do not currently drive. I'm happy to do walks around Sefton park/Princes park/Greenbank etc.! I have bookings available so feel free to ask me any questions! !! Weekly walks : reoccurring or one-off walks with potential for discount. Walks, outdoor play, scent enrichment, run, etc. !! House Sitting : day rates are slightly higher than overnight, depending on length of time + number of pets !! Drop-ins : feeding, play, potty breaks I have experience working with: - your regular ol' good boy (or girl!) - foreign rescues - dogs with lead reactivity - energetic puppies that pull on lead - senior dogs (11+) - working breeds, herding breeds, huskies, staffys & similar larger breeds If your dog is difficult about lead walking, medication, people in their house, etc. let me know in advance. I am not a dog trainer and I do not have any certification, but I am comfortable with a lot of different animals and I'm good at reading pets and learning their personalities, which helps me earn their trust so they can feel safe with me ♡ I use only positive reinforcement associations so rest assured no force or aggression should ever happen from my end unless in an emergency!

Reviews

First time that I have used Alex, she was fabulous. Alex house and dog sat my Labrador (who has reactivity issues) and all went very well. Alex is reliable and sends lots of updates on WhatsApp. I would highly recommend x

Alex was the most perfect pet sitter! An absolutely lovely human being, I would trust her with my cat any day of the week. She sent updates, took care of him even though he has medicines to take as well and he seemed very happy when I came back. He's such a shy boy I think he apreciated Alex respecting him while taking such good care of him. Thank you, Alex!

Alexandra was a lovely pet sitter for our girl(kit)! Our cat is on the antisocial side but she warmed to Alexandra, who gave her space and time. Alexandra sent alot of pictures and kept us updated the whole time we were away (not only of kit being cute but also of her eating/clean litter box etc) and let us know if there were any delays/changes in time for the drop ins. She also took note of kits eating behaviour and adapted to what worked best for kit which was really appreciated. It was our first time having a pet sitter so we were a bit anxious but we would book again :)

Alex is a delightful sitter - communicative, super friendly and professional. She’s never let us down and always shares really lovely updates and photos! She was even kind enough to dispose of a few presents our cat brought in 🐭 Our cat is clearly very comfortable with her and trusts her now, after only a few visits. We’ll be booking her again!
