My current routine is ideal for pet care, as I’m home most of the week and love having animals around while I study. I’m currently at home throughout the week while completing my Master’s dissertation, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m able to give pets plenty of time, attention and company during the day. Because I’m home-based at the moment, your pet wouldn’t be left for long periods, and I can easily work around their usual routine — whether that includes feeding times, walks, playtime, garden breaks, medication, cuddles or quiet time. I also really enjoy getting out for local walks, so having a dog to care for fits perfectly with my lifestyle. I’m happy to build walks into the day depending on your dog’s energy levels and needs, whether they prefer a gentle stroll or something a little more active. If I go to the gym, I usually go very early in the morning around 5:30–6:00am, so it doesn’t take away from the time I can dedicate to looking after your pet but I can work this around the dog/cats routine. Overall, my routine is calm, flexible and home-based, which means I can offer a reliable and attentive environment for your animal while they’re in my care.

Safety, trust & environment
I want every pet in my care to feel safe, settled and loved, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m visiting theirs. In my own home, I offer a calm, welcoming environment where pets can settle in at their own pace and be treated like part of the family. I have a large secure garden where dogs can enjoy fresh air, playtime and toilet breaks safely. Inside the house, pets are welcome to make themselves comfortable, whether they prefer being close by, relaxing in a quiet spot, or having space to themselves. I always follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding instructions, walks, medication, sleep arrangements and any specific rules or preferences from their owner. Because I have two cats and a rabbit of my own, I’m very mindful of introductions, boundaries and keeping animals safe. My own pets can be kept separate from visiting pets if needed, and I would always discuss this with owners beforehand to make sure the arrangement is suitable for everyone. I’m also happy to care for one or two dogs/cats at a time if needed or just look after one if that helps your pet feel more settled and gives you extra peace of mind. I take time to understand each animal’s personality, behaviour and needs before a booking, including how they are with other animals, whether they have any anxieties, allergies, medical needs or triggers, and what helps them feel calm. I believe in gentle, patient care and would never force interaction or rush a pet who needs time to adjust. Happy to have a call or meeting beforehand if that makes you feel more comfortable. If I’m caring for pets in an owner’s home, I treat the home with the same respect and care I would expect in my own. I’ll make sure pets are fed, checked, comforted and cared for properly, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so owners know their pet is happy and well looked after.

Pet care experience
I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, growing up with dogs, cats and rabbits in the home. Since buying my first home, I now have two cats and a rabbit of my own, and I regularly look after my parents’ cockapoos and five cats when they go away. I’ve also cared for friends’ retrievers and have experience with a wide range of cat breeds and temperaments, including Ragamuffins, Birmans and Ragdolls as well as some gorgeous fun loving moggies :) I offer a calm, loving, cosy home environment with a large secure garden where dogs can safely run around and play. Visiting dogs are treated like part of the family and can make themselves comfortable around the house, whether they enjoy sofa cuddles, quiet time or garden zoomies. I can't wait to have a dog of my own in the future! I’m patient, reliable and happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding instructions, walks, playtime, medication where needed (having owned a disabled cat previously that required medication) and regular updates for owners. As I have my own cats and rabbit, they can be kept separate from visiting dogs and cats if needed, so everyone feels safe and settled. I'm 28 years old and currently a Masters student completing my dissertation so I will be at home all the time and I live with my partner who's a high-school teacher. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and so I promise to care for them with kindness, attention and genuine love until you return to them. Ready to accept boarders, stay at your home wiht pets and offer dog walking if its close to my home.

Reviews
Alex has been incredible with our boisterous Labrador Milo! She’s super caring, friendly, very responsive and gives us regular dog updates! She regularly looks after Milo and even helped to train him when he was younger! You can instantly tell that she grew up around animals and cares for their wellbeing! Can’t recommend Alex enough, your furry friend will be in safe hands!
Alex has looked after our five cats (currently aged from 1 to 17 years) and two dogs (aged 9 and 13 years) on numerous occasions both as resident in our property and on a casual daily basis when required. The last long-term occasion was in April 2026 when we went away abroad for 10 days. Besides the usual duties of feeding, grooming and litter replacement, Alex also walked the dogs twice daily. As a roadrunner, she has no problem keeping up with athletic dogs and providing them with long walks if required. Alex is punctual, reliable and the animals are always very happy to be in her care. Alex is also a substitute foster carer for her parents, so she is well versed in responsible caring duties. We have absolutely no issue in recommending her recommending her for further pet minding positions.
We hired Alex to drop in on our dog Callie when we were away for the day and couldn’t find someone to dog sit our retriever Callie. Alex was lovely, friendly and took the best care of Callie. We met Alex before the day so she could meet Callie and they hit it off straight away! We arranged for her to collect our keys from a key safe on our house and she came in to watch Callie, take her for a long walk and sent us pictures to show she’d turned up! If you want someone who’s easy to get on with, loves animals and will treat your pet as their own. Alex is your girl!
I have witnessed Alex being great with both cats and dogs. She is a very caring conscientious person and animals love her. Couldn’t recommend her enough.
