When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication, and any specific routines or house rules. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, whether that’s walks, playtime, or just quiet company depending on their personality. I’m also careful to respect their space and adjust my approach if a pet is shy or needs time to warm up. I keep the home clean and tidy, including feeding areas, water bowls, and litter boxes if needed, and I’m comfortable handling any messes or accidents. I also provide updates and photos so owners know how their pet is doing while they’re away.

Schedule
Pet care fits into my routine really well because I have a flexible full-time job. I’m usually in the office about three days a week, but my schedule isn’t rigid and I can work from different locations or from home when needed, especially when I’m pet sitting. Because of that flexibility, I’m able to plan my day around feeding times, walks, and check-ins so pets stay on their normal routine. I generally walk dogs in the morning and afternoons, so it’s easy for me to build that into my day. I’m also available for morning, evening, and overnight care depending on what’s needed.
