I spend my days at home and truly love having animals as part of my daily life. Pet care fits naturally into my routine—morning feedings, mid-day walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddle breaks in between. Because I work from home full-time, pets are never left alone and always receive consistent attention, comfort, and supervision. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, relaxed, and completely at home while you’re away.

The more information, the better! Please let me know if your animal has any special dietary restrictions or allergies. It’s also great to know if they have any “hot spots” (e.g. if they REALLY don’t like their ears being touched or the second toe in their left foot). If they’re territorial around other animals, especially on walks, I’m happy to keep an extra eye out and avoid any potential aggravations!
A typical day
I love to experiment with different playtime based on your pet’s personality! We can go on a hike through the local park, toss a ball, or simply snuggle up and get lots of belly scratches.

Pet care experience
Besides farm animals, I’ve taken care of almost every domestic pet in the book. I grew up with 2 large Akitas, 3 small chihuahua-terriers, and a clowder of cats, so I’m very comfortable handling dogs of all temperaments. I spent 2 years as a dog walker, and previously boarded dogs for 2 years in Portland. So I have experience with territorial, vocal dogs. I have a house with hardwood floors that are easily cleanable, and a large backyard for potty breaks and playtime. I’m also in very close proximity to a large park where we can adventure during lunch breaks. I do not have a crate at this time, but will happily crate if you provide your own. I currently have 2 elderly, long-term foster cats, so I’m currently only accepting small dogs for boarding who are comfortable with cats. Happy to do drop in visits for dogs of all other sizes, though! I work from home 24/7 so I have plenty of time to care for your animal family members at all times of the day. If you have any questions or special requests, please do not hesitate to reach out! Looking forward to meeting you soon! :) I have plenty of time to take your pet out for walks, administer medication, and provide dedicated playtime and cuddles. I’m available almost 7 days a week at most times, if given advance notice.

We left our 2 pups with Alexandra for 2 weeks and we got daily updates on how they were doing. We were happy that our dogs felt comfortable in her home and we’re so happy to have found a great place for our pups to stay while we’re out of town.

We had not boarded our seven year old lab for several years and were anxious about, well, everything. We had fairly detailed care preferences, and we didn't want to leave our family member with just anyone. But after meeting with Alexandra, we felt at ease, and she was fantastic throughout Callie's stay. Her communication was great, and she sent photos and texts that were fun to receive and reassuring. It was obvious Cal was being well cared for. We would feel confident about having Alexandra watch our girl again!
